Under any circumstances, would Bruce be willing to end someone's life in order to end their suffering?

It would give them some thing to ease their pain, then let nature do his job.

Nah, he's too much of a pansy for that. It would go against his asinine, nonsensical moral code.

I'm a massive Batman fan and I completely agree with this statement. But his nonsensical moral code is also part of why I like him so much. He's a complex character. He is cowardly sometimes. He's faulted and kind of not all there. If Batman were perfect, he would have a much different sense of justice, but he isn't. He's just a broken man in broken world doing what he thinks is right, and willing to give his life to help keep innocent people from having to live in fear.

@racob7: No. He'll do everything he can to save that person. He'll never accept that killing is the only option and believes that there's always another way. And he's Batman, if there's anyone who can find that way, it's Batman. And if he can't, the guilt will eat him up and he will work hard at finding a solution so that this kind of thing never happens again. Also, he'll try to ease the pain and stay by the person's side in their last moments. Example of this is what he did with Ace in the Justice League Animated series. He stayed with her and held her hand as she was dying even though he had the means to kill her himself. And no offense to people who think otherwise, but calling Batman a "pansy" for not killing is pretentious and foolish. No killing has become a defining trait for the character, and is more than just a moral code, it's a trait that keeps grounded, human, sane and a way that solidifies the character's discipline.
