Who is the Batman Eternal Villain?

If you haven't read the first issue of Batman Eternal I suggest you stay off this form to avoid spoilers.

The opening page was definitely a shock as we see Gotham in ruins and our Hero crucified. The Bat has plenty of antagonist who would do this to him. Some would like to see Gotham under their control and only a few would like to see it burning. When it comes to watching the world burn Joker takes the cake but he doesn't care for Bruce's identity nor does he know. Ra's Al Ghul can be an eco-terrorist but he always calls his adversary Detective as a sign of respect never Bruce. Owlman (Lincoln March/Thomas Wayne Jr.) knows who he is but only wanted to take his place as a Wayne by killing Bruce he never mentioned taking over Gotham. So my question is who could this villain be and what may their motives be for stripping apart every aspect of Batman's life?

There's little to go on right now but if I had to guess then I would say maybe Hush in addition to the ones you mentioned

I'm betting on Hush, but I suppose it could be Joker. Snyder did mention in interviews awhile back that we hadn't seen the last of Joker. Ra's is probably getting dealt with in Batman and Robin so I'd be surprised if he shows up again for this, but I guess that always possible. We've only got one issue to go on, it could be anybody at this point.

I don't even want to try to guess at this point. I'm just gonna try to really enjoy every issue of this and see how it plays out

I'm hoping for Hush as well.

I know this one might seem a little out there but I'm kinda hoping it's Prometheus. Hush is definitely a close 2nd. I'm really hoping it's not the Joker because it would completely ruin his character.

I heard the Arkham Knight game is going to have Scarecrow as one of the main villains and he's take over the city, maybe it could be something like that

@batshrine: Well I never said no to Catwoman but if she's the Kingpin of Gotham why would she want to destroy the city?

I'm guessing either Hush or Owlman, but maybe they will surprise and it will be Dr. Strange.

its not the joker, the way the person talked and them knowing batman is bruce.

doubt its hush, burning gotham doesnt seem like his MO (same with hugo strange)

i think the obvious choicee is lincoln march, thats why i don't think snyder will use him and the same reasons OP stated

So it turns out it was The Roman ( Derek Grady? ) Who is this guy xD?

It could be either March or Hush but I'm not sure Snyder will go with such an obvious choice.

Falcone is just a puppet, commanded by one of those freaks that he hate so much.

I think Falcone consideres Joker, Riddler, Batman etc. as freaks.

Falcone feels like a misdirect.

Roman is Carmine Falcone,one of his first villains and mafia boss he had face in early years. Derek Grady is minor gangster that works for Roman and They're not Batman Eternal main villain,just another chess piece.
