So, it's only a matter of time before they give us another Batman solo film. It's going to be interesting once we see what kind of Batman we get in B v S. So, which villain would you prefer we see in the next solo film? Riddler? Deathstroke? Cour of Owls? Batmite?
Which villain should they use in the next Batman film?
@william300: HA Batmite would be hilarious, but I think I'd like to see Mr. Freeze come back. I think he deserves another chance after that atrocious Batman and Robin movie.
@smashton: Agreed. He's a great villain, New 52 ruined him with that awful new origin.
@william300: I don't know his new origin, I haven't kept up with the Batman continuity in New 52. But hopefully we will see Mr. freeze done some JUSTICE!
@smashton: They turned Freeze into a creepy stalker. In the continuity he was never married to Nora. Nora was the firs person cryo frozen to keep her alive long enough for her disease to be cured, she's old enough to be Victor's grandmother. Victor was a scientist assigned to cure her, he developed a obsession with her and the delusion that they were married (as in the good origin was all in his head). It's awful.
Nolan Verse ideas:
The Ventriloquist accidently kills the orphans during a heist, John Blake becomes the violent vigilante Red Hood to go after and kill him because the law didn't live up to his anger and Bruce needs to come back and stop him.
Black Mask goes after Catwoman for a past heist she did and Bruce gets in the way.
Batman Beyond battling the Court of Owls who tooked over after Batman retired
@william300: Oh wow, that origin is like. TERRIBLE, what the heck DC!?
I would love to see the Court of Owls in a movie, it would be the best thing they could do imo. Hush would be cool too.
If the Joker doesn't have a big part in Batman VS Superman...
The Villain I would like to see in the next Batman solo movie are
Joker, Mad Hatter, or Court of Owls
TAS Mad Hatter.
TAS Riddler.
Deathstroke: if they want to actually push him this would be a good idea, as long as he keeps fighting other heroes.
Deadshot:Above.
@comicbookfan93: yea, it would make the claim that the Court of Owls had manipulated Gotham under Batman's nose more impact if he's been active for 20 or so years.
@smashton: And if they keep Hush out of it.
Court of the Owl is indeed a good choice, considering the new Batman (Batfleck) has been operating for many years. However, I do wish to also see Jason Todd, Deathstroke, and maybe even the Ventriloquist.
Who do you think can play a convincing Deathstroke ? I would've said Jeremy Irons if he wasn't already Alfred.
Id love to see Man Bat or Hugo Strange. Though Id also like to see a film with Joker, Harley, and Red Hood. Also they should use Catwoman again.
If they are using BvS to create a larger background threat with Lex Luthor and will use the next Batman film as a tie-in, then I think Freeze is the way to go. He can have Lexcorp ties without needing the whole movie to be entirely about Lex. Freeze has always been a sympathetic villain who needs a push in the wrong direction too. He's also a genius in his own right and can keep Batman on his toes for much of the movie without engaging him directly.
If they are not going to do a tie-in then I think Batman needs A more direct villain, for this Deathstroke could be excellent, though I would prefer if he stayed a shadowy puppet master for some time. If they are going to introduce Robin (as an actual sidekick or compatriot) I think Slade is a good choice since he is an enemy to both.
If it's going to be more stand-alone and without Robin then I think that Hush, the Penguin, or the Riddler are all good options. Hush could again act as the puppet master and easily use less mentally formidable rogues like Firefly or Killer Croc. The Penguin may also be fun to have in his role as a low key gangster who serves as an occasional source of information. The Riddler needs to have a purpose though, something he often lacks in all incarnations.
Clayface. He is a legitimate threat, a interesting set of powers and origin that works well for the big screen
