When Scott Snyder's Batman run ends, and DC makes a new flagship Batman title, which artist would you want on the book? I personally would want Alex Maleev doing art for a Batman flagship. His gritty style he has used for Daredevil perfectly suits Batman IMO.

Maleev is already drawing a Batman book.

Tony Daniels.

@entropy_aegis:

I know, I was just saying that I would want to have him on the flagship Batman book.

I would like to see Keneth Rocafort or Eddy Barrows.

I NEVER WANT SCOTT SNYDER'S RUN TO END. EVEN WHEN HE DIES. HE MUST WRITE BATMAN IN THE AFTERLIFE AND SEND IT TO US.

@rustyroy:

Oh, Jim draws an awesome Batman (Arguably the best)! *Gives Respect*. I just think Maleev's gritty art style fits Batman so perfectly.

@rustyroy: Dude has talent, but he half-asses a lot. He'll do a beautiful spread, and the next page will be absolutely crap with very bad faces and too many of his signature lines. Hes too inconsistent.

rob liefeld. to match the stories.

Who?

@toplel: Really? I loved his work in Hush and he was consistent there.

#20 Edited by toplel (921 posts) - - Show Bio

@rustyroy: He did mess up the anatomies quite often, but it was alright. Hes inconsistent in Unchained and was in JL too.

#21 Posted by RustyRoy (12809 posts) - - Show Bio

@toplel: Yeah he was inconsistent in JL, I haven't read Unchained so can't say anything about that. How about Rafael Albuquerque or Dustin Nguyen. Daniels and Finch are great too.

#22 Posted by toplel (921 posts) - - Show Bio

@rustyroy: Albuquerque and Nguyen are great, but I cant agree with Daniels or Finch, especially Daniels.

@rustyroy: Im not really sure. Depends on the writer too, cause Snyder and Capullo make a great team and their basic ideas for the character match. If I had to, Id go for Albuquerque, Fabok or consistent Jim Lee.

#25 Posted by RustyRoy (12809 posts) - - Show Bio

@toplel: Agreed, Capullo and Albuquerque's style works well with Snyder's story telling.

Yeah Maleev's style is perfect for Batman but it needs a different writer to match his style IMO.

Tony Daniel. His art is very gritty and dark, perfect for Batman. Now that I think about it he's probably my favorite artist.

Jason Fabok, Tony Daniel or Andy Kubert.

Capullo is a dream come true. He was excellent during his tenure on spawn. Ivan Reis draws really pretty. Doug mahnke was a really good bat artist during under the red hood series.

Jim lee draws well. His characters tend to pose to much, his panels aren't dynamic enough. He draws his people too stiff, with way too much cross hatching. But he is still one of the all time greats.

I wanna see frank cho or Humberto Ramos on batman. His work improved greatly while drawing spidey.

Nguyen, or Maleev would be cool. I think there are a lot of artists that could pull off a good Batman run.

Eduardo Risso and Brian Azzarello would be awesome on a regular Batman book, Broken City was cool but I think they'd be better with a longer run.

Please no Jim Lee.

WITHOUT A DOUBT ANDREA SORRENTINO!!!!!!!!!! He does very dark artwork thatd be great for batman, an if not him maybe john cassaday or jh williams III

#32 Posted by LyraFay (2527 posts) - - Show Bio

Dustin Nguyen, Bill Scienkiwcz, Brian Bollard and please bring back Tim Sale!! But no Jim Lee, his style is hardly creative for Batman.

How did I forget about him? Yeah Sorrentino would be awesome, Lee Bermejo would be cool too.

I'd like to see Chris Mooneyham take a crack at Batman.

#35 Posted by Baberaham_Lincoln (937 posts) - - Show Bio

A Batman Drawn by Alex Maleev would be amaaazzzziinnnnggg.... but for me, i'd like Butch Guice's art on someone as dark as Batman, or even Steve Epting =D

For a change of pace, I'd really like to see Sean Gordon Murphy on Batman. He's done some great commissions, sketches, and such of him.

Szymon Kudranski would be cool too.

@rustyroy: The one with Batman on the fire escape, when I first looked at it I thought it said "WAAAAAA!!!!! I'M THE BATMAN"

#45 Posted by Ninjablade09 (3170 posts) - - Show Bio

I would like to see Kenneth Rocafort draw the flagship Batman book. I really like his work.

#46 Edited by RustyRoy (12809 posts) - - Show Bio

@ninjablade09: Rocafort is great, but I think he'll draw a more armored type Batman better.

#47 Edited by Ninjablade09 (3170 posts) - - Show Bio

@rustyroy: I think that's why I like his New 52 Batman a lot, fits the whole armor look that every one has. Though I do think his non armored Batman is good as well.

@sog7dc: Jim Lee's best work in DCU is his work in Hush, check it out, it feels like a Hollywood Action movie. And agreed that art work will be fine for Batman. Just posting this for the lazy ones.
