@fadetoblackbolt: That is one helluva bad report on Iron Man 3. Especially the analogy. I'm gonna have to watch it for myself to see if it's an apt one.
((((((This is Ben Affleck with the Batman Cowl))))))
@lvenger: You should watch the director's cut, it's a much better movie.
@lvenger: i see, i disagree but everyone is entitled to their own opinion :) thanks for sharing though :)
Ben Affleck will be fine as Batman. People are so paranoid that we will see the Ben Affleck of 10 years ago but that is not going to happen, I think the guy has learned from his mistakes and grown as both an actor and director. I mean I never felt Bale was a great Batman but oh well I still saw the movies and there were lots of other things to enjoy in them. Give him a shot he will surprise people in my opinion just like he did when he first directed a movie.
Every actor has their fair share of bad movies. Anyone who disputes that is willfully ignorant. I just think it's unfair to cast full judgement on something that was announced less than 48 hours ago...
@lvenger: what did you think was so bad about it? Just curious. I didn't think it was perfect but hardly as terrible as people make it out to be.
I enjoyed Daredevil to be honest. It wasn't good by any means but it was enjoyable to say the least.
I'm not surprised by this pick overall. Ben Affleck is doing great right now in his career and is recognizable. Looks like WB is finally wanting to compete with Marvel Studios. Robert Downey Jr. is the main focus for the Marvel films, he is the star power, the charisma. While I don't find Ben Affleck to be very charismatic I see him as being WB's lead for the films to build around. I also wonder how much input he will have in the directing considering he is an award winning director now and his last three films have all gotten positive reception. I never thought Ben Affleck for Batman/Bruce Wayne but I am curious what he will bring.
@guardian_of_gravity: What does the director's cut add to the film that the post production cut doesn't out of curiosity?
@aiden_cross A pleasure. Glad we all have differing opinions about stuff.
@lvenger: Iron Man 3 is about as bad as Batman and Robin.
Batman and Robin may be better because it at least has comedic value.
Iron Man 3 is just two hours of awful. It's like watching a brother and sister make out, some people will enjoy it, but it's just wrong.
...... I don't think like IM3 either, and think it's extremely disappointing end to a trilogy, but saying it's Batman and Robin bad is ridiculous IMO.

Batman and Robin is terrible. But it's hilarious because of that. In that respect, some level of enjoyment is to be had.
Iron Man 3 has no such enjoyment. And where Batman and Robin has virtually infinite potential as a drinking game, IM3 only has one route "drink every time there's a plot hole". And you'll be dead 40 minutes in.
watch this if you are someone who hates it
Thanks for the link.
@rustyroy: No problem, I just want people to have more than one opinion and this video is all about different opinions
@crazyamrit: Yeah, those guys touched almost every point and I really liked it and agree with what they said but sadly the haters won't agree and will just ignore it.
"A batman reboot staring Christian Bale, are you out of your mind..."
"heath ledger as the joker, are you out of your mind!?"
"Wtf is up with Bane's mask thing are you out of your mind!"
I still agree with all three points.
Didn't like Christian Bales Batman, though his Bruce Wayne was alright.
Heath Ledgers Joker was crap, imo.
And Bane was horrible.

This is why you don't make movies

@kellerman: not...bad
So is that Affleck's chin under the cowl?
From comparable pictures, it seems to be the real deal.
@lvenger: You should watch the director's cut, it's a much better movie.
Agreed.
@black_arrow: I really hope so, not only are your eyes very distinct & recognizable, the white shades is exactly what the Batsuit needs to be complete. Everytime I watch Nolan's films I cry a little inside just 'cause of that.

What's different in the director's cut?
@dernman: 30 more min of daredevil of lawyer life which i gotta say add more to his character also more of foggy freind reltationship and more about him as a kid i believe

Eh by the sounds of it, I'm not sure it detracts that much from the poor quality of the film. But I'll find it for myself and see whether that's the case.
@lvenger: it on amazon if you want to rent it out for your self
@darknightspideyfanboy: OK I'll do that
one word: SHAVE
It suits him more to have stubble. Bruce Wayne should be clean shaven, not Batman.
I think he'll be great. He wasn't my option, but honestly he "saved" us from many other really bad choices. The pic is cool. White shades please.

This is the real picture:
Ben earned my respect in Argo, before that I just thought of him as "Matt's friend", and since I can't hat anything about Matt Damon, I can't hate his friends either .... but I can hate his Friends Girlfriends ... and EXs.
Every man looks better with a beard.
I don't judge a movie by its acting, reviews, or how close it is to comics it's based off of, I judge it by story and how entertained I am by it. So really the only 2 comic movies I don't like are the amazing Spider-Man and ghost rider 2. That being said I think Ben afleck will do a good job by my standards and expectations.
Still no white shades for the cowl? That's a damn shame...
On the real though, I did overreact when I heard the news, looking at Affleck & judging him based on today instead of years ago when he was kind of an asshole, I think he might do well actually. Basically we all need to relax & wait until we get some footage.
I think the white eyes would look kinda weird in live action.
I know it's fake, but it looks pretty good to me. Affleck certainly looks the part. But can he act the part? We'll just have to wait and see. I really do hope he blows us away. Oh yeah, and someone mentioned him being three inches taller than Cavill. Maybe Snyder will work his special effects mojo on that one and make Cavill look bigger.
