If you thought Christian Bale's Batman voice was horrible, imagine what Ben Affleck is going to have to do to sound intimidating.

I think he's got the looks - in fact looks wise I reckon he play just about any Super hero.... it's his voice and acting chops - does he have what it takes to be "The Batman"?

i dont mind a lil bit of a 5 o clock shadow but he's definitely gonna have to shave a lil bit. Other than that, he looks great.

He's a good actor, I think he can pull it off better than 90% of the actors we wanted as Batman, Snyder is the master of visual and sound effects so I'm sure the voice won't be a problem.

What exactly don't you like about this news? I'm still on the fence about it myself.

It looks cool and while Batman with stubble can work, if they're actually going for that look then he should shave the sides. I think the things that worry me more is that they're going with an older Batman instead of just having him the same age as Superman and that Affleck is supposedly three inches taller than Cavil.

Still no white shades for the cowl? That's a damn shame...

On the real though, I did overreact when I heard the news, looking at Affleck & judging him based on today instead of years ago when he was kind of an asshole, I think he might do well actually. Basically we all need to relax & wait until we get some footage.

that isnt a real picture of the mask in the movie. In Daredevil he used red shades like the ones that daredevil has. So maybe with Batman they will go with white shades

He has the right chin for it, certainly.

if that actually use a cowl like that I would be overjoyed. the helmet style of the Nolan trilogy looked terrible.

@lvenger: It signifies that AffBatz is real and they aren't changing their minds. And now Matt freaking Damon is gonna be Aquaman.

I enjoyed the look of Immortals in the trailer. I'm into Greek mythology and shamefully into a popcorn action flick. But Daredevil was all kinds of wrong IMO. The only comic book films I can think of that are worse than it off the top of my head are Elektra, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

I liked DD....It was okay just not great.

@fadetoblackbolt: Really? Surely it can't be worse than Iron Man 2? That film had no plot or direction whatsoever.

@aiden_cross Well let's see what I can come up off the top of my head. Poor script, bad choice of acting in their respective roles, horrible costumes for Daredevil and Elektra and Bullseye didn't look that good either. The plot was all over the place and the butchering of the source material was incredibly strong. I'm not the biggest Daredevil fan or expert but even I felt that the film got a lot wrong about Daredevil. As I said, it's not as bad as the last two Pre Nolan Batman films but it's one of the worst comic book films to date IMO.

I still disapprove of 1 and 3. I disliked Bale's performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman greatly and Bane sounded ridiculous with his mask. Undercut the menace Bane is supposed to exude.

@lvenger: Iron Man 3 is about as bad as Batman and Robin.

Batman and Robin may be better because it at least has comedic value.

Iron Man 3 is just two hours of awful. It's like watching a brother and sister make out, some people will enjoy it, but it's just wrong.

Looks good to me. I'd prefer without the beard and if there were white shades over the eyes. But I don't really mind either (so long as the beard doesn't get too out of control).

As for Affleck as Batman, I'm optimistic. They guy has had some pretty good roles. And I would rather wait until I see footage of him as Batman before I make a call.
