How would you feel if Stephen King written a Batman story?
Stephen King writing for Batman
I'd be all over it. Carrie is my favorite novel. I'd love to see him do something with the Joker and Two Face.
Eh maybe a novel but not of the graphic variety. Anything beyond the writen word seems to confuse King
Rumors said he did, but under another name.
What rumors?

The rumors that say several people had write Batman under other names, based on how popular Batman is.
I would read it in a heartbeat.
The facts are that King knows how to write, and given the darkness of the Bat Universe, King would write it well. I would like to see a darker take on some Villains to bring them back into the lime-light, for instance, The Riddler, Mister Freeze or even Scarecrow. Yes these characters are know but having a new and DARKER take on them would be amazing. King would do that so well. I would like to see him do the Joker but the Joker has been done before.
Just my take.

Hehe. I was just about to say the exact same thing. That was a pretty good back up tale

Okay.... btw under which name did he write Batman? I'd like to read that book.
Would King's style suit Batman? I know he can do dark but he'd have to make the story a bit more horrific to work with his strengths in writing.
He'd be great for an Elseworlds Batman book.
That's true, a really Stephen King esque Batman story would be a crazily great read.

That is why its a rumor, its a urban legend, that is why i put rumors said he did, not well he did it.
Its a rumor.
Maybe it born for the fact he is a well know Batman fan and he talk about it several times.
In 400 he did the introduction.

Most definitely, he gives praise to Batman as much any other Batman fan

Scott Snyder?
Imagine if Edgar Allan Poe wrote Batman.
Once upon a midnight weary while I pondered powerful and weary.
And quoth Alfred, Nevermore master Bruce.
There has probably be a few more.

Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft. Why couldn't Batman comics exist when these people were alive?

Hilarious.
@lvenger: King doesn't just write horror, I mean he did also write the Green Mile, the Perfect Storm and Stand by Me
Lets see how awesome that would be
1. Joker would be really f*cked up. Even more than he is now
2. Possessed Batman
3. Scarecrow rapes his victims
4. Every other villain rapes their victims
5. Clayface ruins childhoods
6. Joker's main goal is to kill all the Robins
7. 1000 pages long
8. Alfreds possessed
9. Lots of gore
F*CK YEAH
@jonny_anonymous: I know but his main style for which he's famous for is horror. That would be why King would be approached to write a Batman comic if that ever happened.
I would love it. Is he a Batman fan?
Not sure, but he has connections to Scott Snyder so who knows maybe he can convince him.
How do you know this? I've never heard Snyder or King confirm they know each other. But it's awesome if this is true.
@lvenger: King co-wrote the first issue of American Vampire
@jonny_anonymous: I did not know that. Not particularly fond of the vampire genre. Now that's pretty cool I must say.

He is also a director.
@innervenom123: whats the difference?

haha i need to read the Shining and doctor sleep but if the comparison your making is the same as mine i think i know what you mean because i wanna say one difference i see is the stand vs under the dome
the dialog in under the dome and way people interact is just bad theres no other way to put it

I just assumed because they wrote the first volume of American Vampire together. That in it of itself at least proves enough of a professional relationship to warrant speculation on the possibility that they can do it again.

Now I'm wondering why I haven't read that yet. To Amazon!

A Batman book written by these guys could've been amazing, also Arthur Conan Doyle.

Yeah, one can dream.
No one else is interested in a Batman story written by Tyler Perry? where Batman's crazy aunt Petunia stops by Wayne Manor (Aunt Petunia looks suspiciously like Perry in a dress)?
Joking aside, a Batman story written by Stephen King would be tremendous. I don't see any other comic book character he'd be able to write successfully for. Maybe Spawn. (Actually definitely Spawn)
I'd like to see King's take on the Joker, Batman's relationship with Robin, and also if he would shed some light on who he thinks the real person is and which is the mask (Batman or Bruce)
