Ra's al Ghul recommended reading

in new in all the comic stuff and i want some oppinions about were to start the batman-ra's rivalry (preferable the best ones)

Those are among my favorite stories for the Demon's Head.

Just read Birth of the Demon and enjoyed it a lot, one of my favourites, great artwork, interesting story etc.

This was mainly about Ra's, and is essentially his origin, but it has one of the most brutal fights I've seen Batman get into, the two of them are on fire and Bruce ends up getting a goddamn shovel stabbed into his chest!!

I'm glad I stumbled onto another Batman story I enjoyed, I was beginning to feel like calling it a day.

Its very cool, I'd love to own a hardback copy of it but they seem pretty pricey unfortunately.

From what I gather they are just selling it as a compilation with two other Ra's strories at the moment, but I'm not really that interested in the other two stories, Son of the Demon I thought was just OK, I don't really feel the need to own it.

Also the new cover kind of sucks compared to the old one IMO.

Read the Birth of the Demon TPB last week. I found the first and last stories to be the best...moreso the last. Reading about Ra's mortal years and how he came to be who he is was a very good read.

For fans I would also suggest the compilation of his first appearenses with the tpb Tale of the Demon

I'd add Hunt for Robin for newer stories.
