Ditto. I don't think it's possible to be a crazy fanboy for all of these but yes it is possible to like both

#4 Posted by _Gaff_ (3382 posts) - - Show Bio

Why would it not be possible?

You can be a fan of as many characters as you want. I love batman, but I also like superman for many reasons.

No it isn't. I tried once and it was just unnatural. Everyone who says otherwise is denying the truth and only hurting themselves.

Yes

Big Alfred Fan

Fan of Superman

Haven't been on much lately so I don't know if Thorson here has been making moronic threads, but in response to his question, of course it's possible. Maybe saying is it possible to be a fan of both characters equally would have been better. Two very different characters with reasons to like them both but ultimately in the end there most likely is one character you prefer a bit more than the other.

HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT THE JOKER IS JUST A CLOWN! The Joker is the ultimate villain, the ying to batman's yang. Besides that, Batman has the single BEST collection of Villains.

And I also like Superman. Either you're a troll, or you're just....well stupid.

Oh he does more than that, he even saved the multiverse, I don't think Thor has done anything like that.

Of course it is, they truly are the Worlds Finest. Their methods may differ but they strive to achieve similar goals, they are the standard all other heros hold themselves up to. I am an unapologetic Batman fan boy but that in no way diminishes Superman as a character or my enjoyment of stories featuring him.

#47 Posted by Knightfall225 (1989 posts) - - Show Bio

I like both of them but not equally. Im a batfanboy more than a superman fan boy

#48 Posted by MartianManhunterIsBetterThanCyborg (2243 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't see why people pick sides when the characters are best friends in the comics.

I think it is easier to be a Batman fan who enjoys Superman than to be a Superman fan who enjoys Batman. The reason being, Superman, in most forms of media (Comic Books, Cartoons, likely Film), is nerfed, held back, or even made into a chump for Batman's sake. The thinking is explained by Batman fans themselves, when they say things like "Superman beating Batman is pointless, its just a god beating a human", so Batman never needs to be "brought down" to Superman's level, because he is expected to be below him.

Like anyone, I used to kind of like Batman (all but Miller's versions), but it has gotten so bad, I cringe every time I see Batman. The Earth-2 Batman in the first arc of Superman/Batman actually almost won me over, his relationship with Supes, his "softer" personality, his endearment to his allies, etc, Id like to see more of him (too bad he's dead).
