He took part of the show that was part of our childhood. To many of us this show introduced us into comics and Batman. Efrem Zimbalist Jr made the voice of Alfred Pennyworth. He was part of that great cast that made Batman The animated series one of the best animated series of all time. Here you can pay your respects to someone who shall not be forgotten.

I still hear his voice when I read Alfred's voice in the comics.

Wow. This is a sad day. A piece of my childhood has moved on. Thank you for always having that dry sense of humor in the animated series. R.I.P :(

"My Alfreds" were Alan Napier and Michael Gough and both those two gentleman have passed on, so sad to hear another Alfred voice has gone...

Terrible to hear about this. This man was, is and always will be the definitive voice of Alfred for me.
