Mother of God, that's... damn near perfect.
First Look at Batman vs. Superman's Batman!
No word yet on whether that's the final product or if that's Affleck in the costume or even if that's a human being and not just a mannequin, but the shorter ears, thicker build and emblem are definitely inspired by The Dark Knight Returns.
For comparison:
So..........SUPERMAN PUNCHOUT WHEN?
Various sources I respect are claiming it's Affleck in it and it definitely looks like his chin/mouth/jaw. Seeing as they're filming this week and this is the first look, I think it's more than safe to assume that's the final product. You know, give or take whatever VFX they may use along the way.
Haha. I think there will definitely be some fan service, but Snyder's implied he thinks it's a very one-sided fight. I'm hoping it'll be Batman staying a step ahead and testing Superman instead of RUMBLE IN THE STREETS, YO! You know, one of those "we're enemies until we must team up towards the end!" kind of situations.
Looks like him to me.
I also hope he uses white lenses.
ehhh, I dunno, maybe for a special type of vision like they did in The Dark Knight, but not all the time.
Yeah, but that is from a convention ages ago, before they even released MoS
It doesn't imply they think the fight in the film will be one - sided, just that they think an actual fight between these two would be one sided (which I agree with).
Do you think if they were doing a con now to promote this film he would answer like that?

Why not? He doesn't have to use it all the time but I think he should use it most of the time and I also think the lenses should be less like TDK's version and more like comic book.
Not a fan of the ginormous DKR Bat emblem. But I like the suit well enough. I wouldn't say it lived up to the "never seen it before" hype. On the whole, I'm less concerned with the suit and how Ben is as Batman. I'm optimistic.

Agreed and Snyder also wanted to direct the live action version of TDKR.
@cantdance93: I can't remember where but I read an article saying they would also be doing little tweaks to the MOS costume. I really hope we get that red belt or something as it seemed like too much blue in the first film.
About news – well, it looks like … Batman.
And LOL so now Affleck apparently was born to be play Bruce…
@sentryman555: I hope that's true! Yeah too much blue for my taste ;)

Two years ago. I'd hardly call that "ages," but to each their own.
Of course it doesn't, but it reflects how the director and someone who has major influence over the story feels about it.
I have no idea -- I don't know his personality well, but I see no reason why his mind would be changed on the subject. I do, however, think he believes a slugfest a la Dark Knight Returns isn't something he wants as opposed to Bruce using his intellect and resources to stay a step ahead of Bruce -- something that's a little easier to accept and would show why Bruce is more than just a man who can fight well. After all, considering Clark's feats in MoS, it's a little tough to swallow Bruce standing up to that in an armor. But hey, you never know, maybe that is what he'll go for just to please some fans. Only time shall tell.
This doesn't look like a human in the costume but damn that looks awesome. I really hope this is the final product we'll get.
its crazy to see how jacked ben really is
I Like it, very reminescent of Batman year one and Dark knight returns (in which he fights Superman!).
My only concern is this: The materials used for Supermans/Zods costume looks very similar to this. I hope in the movie there aren't significant similarities in the texture of his costume to make him look like a viglante kryptonian.
guys snyder confirmed himself it is affleck
he confrimed it on twitter

@ZackSnyder
I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom
id like to see him direct a movie about the question honestly. im eager to see what affleck can do with such a charachter
Maybe after he's done with the Batman movies.
Looks suit looks great. The symbol however, not quite much.
Yeah, didn't notice the symbol first. It seems kinda too fat.

Seems very inspired by the one in TDKR.
I don't normally like short eared Batman but that looks great! He looks like he's about to beat the s**t out of that car which also looks bad ass.

im also curious to see what fighting style will be used in snyders batman.
Well two years ago is before they'd even released MoS, before they knew were going to have these two face off in the sequel. Considering that Batman (although this is just my opinion, but I think a fair one) is the main draw in this film and is gonna put so many butts in seats, I highly doubt if promoting this film now that they would answer like that. Especially since so much of the hype had been built around the fight they're gonna have, he could hardly laugh it off and just imply Superman stomps it. What kind of terrible marketing would that be.
Maybe that is how they feel about it, and I'd agree with them. But I highly doubt that would have any reflection on a story they didn't even have at that point. He used the quote "I want you to remember the one man who beat you" to introduce us to the fact Batman will be in this film, do you feel that is a less valid indication of how he would like to see this story go? And if so why/ why not?
My current opinion is that Bruce will use his cunning and intellect to take down Clark and capture him, I don't know maybe a Krypton atmospheric prison type of thing. So that we end up with the type of good guy/ villain dialogue scenes we see often, eg. Joker/Batman, Khan/Kirk, Javier Bardem villain/Bond.
I dont know why people are saying that the muscles are fake when you see an image that is bigger you can notice that is real. Henry Cavill also trained and he had the muscles.
Look cool. But so does almost every cosplayer of Batman as well. Got to wait and see how Affleck pulls off PLAYING Batman.
@tazzmission: Sweet info man!
