Don't you think punching criminals in the ribs and windpipe has resulted in suffocation at some point?
Or head injuries that lead to death later?
Bonus question: considering this, should Batman kill the big guys like Joker? Why or why not?

Batman knows what he's doing and how hard to hit, and where. And yes he should kill joker. Letting joker live guarantees dozens of more deaths.
Batman can cut off all your limbs and behead you, but he does it with just the right amount of precision and care that you don't die. Many thugs ambush him at once leading novices like yourself to believe he may accidentally kill one of them. But fear not sir Batman has 200% control over each cell in his entire body. The more enemies, the less likely he'll kill one, which he never does. He did train and master in at least 300 fighting styles you know. He learned from top notch players like the freaking washer of pits himself Ra's al Ghul. Shame on you for questioning the Bat's code @giantsfan576
@deathstroke52: true I hadn't considered that, but, I just figured one guy would have a physical condition Batman hadn't considered which leads him to death. But you're probably right
@jayc1324: Do you think he'd turn into Ra's All Ghul basically? Some think he's a reflection of what Batman would become if he crossed that line
@giantsfan576: Batman would know if someone has a condition.
@deathstroke52: true. I feel dumb for under estimating Batman
@giantsfan576: We all stumble from time to time.
@giantsfan576: don't worry, just be glad it was us who told you and not our Lord wenjun chew. Batman is a character that when underestimated can beat the living day lights out of living tribunal and galactus, he walks all over street levellers now, you can see how writers struggle to make people like joker and two face a threat for him, so they use mind games
@giantsfan576: Batman implied to Superman that he'll probably end up killing the Joker eventually.
@zaied: when?
@giantsfan576: It was in Batman/Superman. I forgot the exact issue... somewhere around #15.
No, he doesn't put his full power behind his punches. He's aware of how hard e's hitting and what how he hits.
No, he shouldn't kill the Joker, because then the fans wouldn't get entertained. LOL. I'm just joking. He should kill him, because plenty of lives would be saved.
@captain_batman_ftw: but where would he stop? Would Batman kill all murderers?
@giantsfan576: he has enough control to stop there.
@captain_batman_ftw: The point is, why not kill his entire rouges gallery? That would save countless lives as well.
@giantsfan576: he has enough control to stop there.
He has control because he doesn't make an exeption to his rules, the moment he does, there is no stopping.
Batman trained to modify advanced dangerous martial arts to not be lethal so he's not going to kill someone with a punch by accident.
@black_arrow: I agree with this
You underestimate how hard writers are willing to try to worm their way around that and how inexplicably willing people are to go along with their circuitous and tortured logic in the name of keeping the official kill count at zero. But yeah, there is literally no chance that at least a few of them have not died. Even if Batman didn't kill them on the spot they still died due to complications from their wounds. Infections, internal bleeding, organ failure, etc. There is no such thing as a harmless knock-out. That's how people get brain damage. But the power of the willing suspension of disbelief says that Batman is so precise that he can consistently beat legions of criminals within an inch of their lives over and over without a single direct or indirect casualty.
@giantsfan576: If you search this forum, I think there is a thread with all the death of batman.
Here is a little example of what Batman inflicts (Batman, the dark knight #18) :
Yes, the odds are very good, extremely in fact. And let's be honest with ourselves, those of us that have played the Arkham games know that that version of Batman is really just going around on one big killing spree.

This is without a doubt one of the funniest comments I've ever read.
