There has been many, but which one is your favorite?
Favorite incarnation of the Avengers?
@waezi2: which....sorry that was bothering me.
@matthewparker: Do you have a favorite incarnation of the Avengers?
@kgb725: Did the original team ever have Cap and Hulk at the same time?
@waezi2: ummm hmm no not really, I like em all.
@darthmummy: No, they fond Cap after Hulk left the team.
Pym's Mighty Avengers, or the first teachers staff at Avengers Academy.
I never really got into AA, but I loved Pym's Mighty team; definitely one of my favorites.
I also really liked the team with two Hank Pyms from Avengers Forever. Pretty much any team with Hank Pym or Luke Cage as central characters works for me.
Actually, I'm already liking Cage's Mighty Avengers more than most versions of the New Avengers, which I had previously considered a favorite..
@oldnightcrawler: You didn't like AA?
The New Avengers' street level lineup.
New Avengers.
New Avengers were just straight thuggin'. I love it.
@thecheesestabber: Meh, my mum's more of an X-Man.
@oldnightcrawler: You didn't like AA?
I didn't dislike it, but I only read the first dozen issues or so. It just never felt like the Avengers to me.. more like the X-men (since it was a school for superheroes) or Alpha Flight or something (since it was a bunch of no-names in a government program). I liked it alright, but it wasn't what I like about the Avengers.

This
They didn't choose the streets, the streets chose them.
@waezi2: Good choice. I loved both of those rosters as well.
Personally I liked this the best. Although its not my perfect line up.
this was a great line up! this is the kind of team i like, one that just oozes with over-the-top personality.
Anyone else?
Uncanny Avengers is actually becoming one of my new favorites.
Though the dynamic of the group hasn't really grown beyond not getting along with each other (which is a classic Avengers trope anyway), most of the characters have had both some great character interactions and significant contributions to the story (as well as to their own stories).
Even the characters that I was less interested in in the beginning (Havok, Scarlet Witch, Wonder-man) have become part of what I like about the book, and with classics like Cap', Thor, Wasp, and Rogue getting some great central roles in what's become an epic story, it's pretty hard to not like this team.
@oldnightcrawler: I liked the idea of Simon as a pacifist, surprisingly in character, and very original for the superhero genre. I actually use a pacifist in a series I'm writing.

yeah, Wonder Man's never been a character I really cared about one way or the other, but he's become both interesting and likable in this new series. It's a good move that gives him something distinct, and, like you say, without even coming off as out-of-character.
@oldnightcrawler: I always liked him. I even have a couple of Wonder Man comics(but not those crabby 90's comics that tried to turn him from gentle giant to badass)
@waezi2: I liked him when he and Beast were on the team together, and some of the early West Coast Avengers; he was just never a character I really thought stood out much on most teams.
He's in Iceman territory: I generally like him when he's around, but I don't really miss him when he's not.
But I like him a lot in UA, so maybe that can change.
I'm gonna go with New Avengers vol.1 (2005). Awesome series, the stories, the writing, the artwork, I give it all an A+.
Some other favorites of mine are Dark Avengers, and Uncanny Avengers.
New Avengers.
This.
US Agents Dark Avengers
Dude, for realsies?
@ugivemethelulz: With or without Cap?
I'd take the 1990 Avenger's team that took on Nebula way back in Avengers 315-320ish .
Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Vision, Sersi, Quasar and Spider-Man.
@waezi2: eh either way is okay
