@ssejllenrad: The option of casting votes by commenting should be available, in my opinion. It might be frustrating to have the poll as the voting function as well but I don't like using it any longer.

no way, then you make something easy actually hard, I think people are wise enough to realize if there's a poll at the top that's where the vote counts, Besides, there's no way to know who did or didn't use the poll.

Whether you like using it only matters when it's yours to count, do not try and insist someone else has to, I know I don't like counting personally when there's something perfectly suited to doing it better and won't do it the hard way.

Tough choice to pick on these guys but I gotta go with Feebadger, he got a little of everything in there pretty much prefect :)

@tonis: I am not trying to insist anything I only stated my opinion. ssejllenrad insisted not to post votes the usual way and this is his turn hosting the contest so no problemo.

Going to go ahead and say what needs to be said regarding the poll function. Users can "stack" votes. Using multiple and alternate accounts. And no one can tell, not even the Mods. That was verified to me.

So that's why I am not liking it. Unfortunately I wished that wasn't the case. Wished the Poll voting function wasn't like that, but it is true.

These are only contests, don't amount to anything but honestly just wished things were fair and others wouldn't take my input the wrong way. I know I am not wrong.
