OK, here is the deal. IF you have received a PM or have read the details in another post by me, you may know about this new proposed contest. If not here are the basics:
We, as artists, will participate in the "Round Robin" contest, but the deal is, the choice and idea for each contest will be done by someone we as artists choose. When the contest goes to voting, the winner will select a Viner, and ask him or her to decide what the next contest will be. The usual rules for each contest will apply. Minimum 1 week to maximum 3 week deadline. Also, try to avoid using any past ideas for past contests. It is OK to use an Amalgam idea if you'd like, but don't use someone else's Amalgam idea that already appeared. Just check the past threads for help. Again, any idea within reason.
The Viner can suggest anything, within reason. It is good not to ask for a couple of pages, nor to have something too complicated. The winning artist will help the Viner set up the next Round Robin contest thread.
When an artist wins a round of the Round Robin Contest, notify your Comic Viner of choice and give him or her 3-5 days to reply and start the next contest theme. If the Viner you choose doesn't reply within that time frame, then start the next contest theme yourself.
Just to add, the name of Round Robin was suggested by artist and Viner Foldingstar, so thanks to him for that great name!
We need more Viners to not only vote but join in the Artist Forum. I have noticed primarily only artists vote or comment in the threads, with a minimum of Viners who aren't artists joining in. This Forum is not exclusive to artists. It is open to everyone. ( although some things get posted which should not)
That said, Comic Viner Turoksonofstone was selected for this first installment of Round Robin. His idea? To take any Public Domain character, and draw our version of him, her, or it. This encompasses a wide array of characters, this should be a great one.
Any medium accepted
Deadline is August 28th, 2011 @ 9:00 PM Central Standard Time USA.
I know there will be suggestions for ideas by users, but please, don't post them. Simply wait and you may get a chance at this. Let the artists create their work, vote when this goes to the Voting Thread, and keep watching, you may get a crack to have your idea turned into a contest!
