Okay everyone here knows who Tom Pinchuk is, right? I should hope so, or you're a pretty sad individual. Alright, I met him at the 2010 Comic-Con User Meet & Greet. He gave me some advice on how to break into the comic book industry. My goal is to be a writer at DC. Pretty much it. That's what I want and I won't stop being involved in comics until I get it. Then I'll still be involved in comics. lol
So I wanna find an artist who is willing to help me. I haven't written the scripts but I'm plotting out the story right now. I want someone who is willing to work with me on little details to make the story work out all together. It's an eight issue miniseries. It's a superhero story of course.
You're not going to get paid for this until we get it published. But that was the other advice I got. Be persistent. I will make this happen but right now we gotta do the first step and actually make it. So, anyone interested? I got a test photo to send you via email if you want to "audition".
Who wants to help me make a comic book to propose to DC?

Are you writing a story for an existing character or are you starting a new character altogether and placing them in the DC universe.I know a lot about DC and might be able to help. I would be willing to help with the storyline and to help with details ,but am not an artist.

@TheMess1428: I was ging to ask the same thing.
The only thing I can offer at the moment is a cover. I'm busy as hell. I can do pro-quality work. I have a gallery at fromthedead.deviantart.com make sure you turn the mature filter off. There's boobies and blood everywhere. But yeah, I'm pretty goddamn good. Seriously. Think Dave Finch or Todd McFarlane.

I'm not here to start anything with you but I am going to give you my two cents. You have talent. Musically and artistically. I like Rob Zombie and I am not speaking from the side of my mouth. It just get's me when people put themselves so high on a pedestal since I believe in being humble and let your strengths speak for themselves rather than a person telling everyone they are the "sh?t"." Todd McFarlane does not know how to draw, he himself has admitted this in several interviews. He cannot draw figures or faces. He is great at adding detail and making things look "cool". Real artist's do not have much regard in judging his art as art. On the other hand David Finch has worked very hard at what he does and has proven time and time again that he really knows what he is doing. I know you feel that you think you know how to draw but I can easily see when you draw from your head and when you use a reference, there is a huge difference. It shows in your faces, hands and anatomy.
You like to live on the edge and more power to you. You have good artists that you aspire from, I believe Ed Benes was another. I think that you have talents on different levels but you spread yourself out too much. You should focus on your core foundation before professing how good you think you are. You have to pay more attention to your figures, lighting camera angles and all the basics. It's not just about fluff, the basics are your foundation for real artists to recognize your work as valid.
I am by no means saying that I am a real artist but referring to the same names you admire, such as Mr Finch. I don't think he would regard your work at his level since he has worked so hard at getting to where he is at. I wish you the best and hope one of your endeavors works out for you. I just feel you should drop the ego down a notch, nobody likes an individual that is full of themselves and when their work or accolades of themselves don't match it makes it look silly ... Like I said, I am not here to start something with you but this is how you leave an impression. Coming from your writings and your Deviant art page. I am not a hater just being truthful.
As for your comic book TheMess, I can only offer you best of luck. Before you pitch the idea though you should write out the script and have a few people read it so they can offer their 2 cents.
" @fromthedead said:if he can't do 8 covers i will do some of them. mabye split them 4 and 4. also i'll need a colorist." The only thing I can offer at the moment is a cover. I'm busy as hell. " @insanepayne6: He's my own character. He's basically a DC Comics fan. And there is supposed to be a trilogy of eight issue miniseries. Then hopefully a regular ongoing series where he gets thrown into DCU continuity. That's pretty much all I can give away on here. "I'm confused lol. He's a DC comics fan and he's in the DC comics universe?
@Caligula: I will think about it. I still need to decide what I want on the covers.
@Omega Ray Jay: That would be a definite possibility.
@Crazy Pan: During the trilogy he is just a DC Comics fan. In the ongoing, he gets thrown into the DC Universe by a magician.
@Primmaster64: Thank you.
@agent9149: I already have the story figured out. I just gotta write the scripts.
I'd be glad to help you. I also have an ambition to break into the business as a writer/artist. I went to the DC talent search panel at the Con this year and have stepped up my game to fit their demands.

Where shall I start. First of all he was selling himself to the customer and was not trying to show off his ego to anyone nor did he make a post bragging about how good of an artist he was. Second what business is of yours what he says. Third who are you to judge his artwork.
"Todd McFarlane does not know how to draw" but David Flinch is better than todd McFarlane in your opinion? Last time I checked Todd McFarlane created Spawn and Helped popularize Image comics. Unlike David Flinch Todd Mcfarlane doesn't need Marvel or DC for a livng or for a paycheck he worked as an independent artist for Image comics. He retired rich making more than any marvel artist and he and frank milller created Spawn a franchise thats still making money till this day. Spawn is common as spiderman, batman. He also helped out to popularize other image titles and characters. He also published one of the best selling spiderman issues recorded which is spiderman 1-5 besides working in other top selling Marvel issues.
''He can't draw figures or faces''. I totally disagree with you and anyone would. I have his issues from spawn an other Marvel titles and all the comic book panels are well detailed with well detaild faces and bodies above the level of most top level artists. Even if he did use references which most artists do he still got the comic book finished and sold and no cared how he did it.
I have Todd McFarlane owning David Flinch anytime. You don't see Todd McFarlane that much anymore because he is a millionare that made more money than any marvel or dc artist.
I'm sure you would be upset if fromthedead came up to your post and starting give you his 2 cents and critizing your work and comparing it other artists. If fromthedead beleives he can accomplish something than he probably can.
