The SENTINELS are COMING!

This I did as a request on the Draw one ask one thread for artiom1q2w, I put enough effort to wanna share on the regular art thread too.

The idea came to me when Artiom gave a choice for either of the two Sentinels being drawn and I said to myself, why not all for compositional purposes?

I'm happy I did it since I like what the final results turned out to be, it was only supposed to be a quick sketch but I kept adding and adding.... :)

I said I was back... but not posting art just yet.

I have some catching up to do here. (Honestly I have not drawn anything for the longest time!)

Still means I wanna see your talented lines, chop chop! :P

With breaks I think maybe from start to finish 5 or 6 hours.

There is about 22 figures on there and the details in the machinery, so it may have taken a bit more but I did it in an evening and I remember I was pretty happy that it didn't take that much longer than what I mentioned. :p

@ramsillustrations: was it done from a draft or straight onto the page?

I do a rough sketch to get an idea and and then reduce the contrast on the layer. I then add another layer and refine the sketch.

The second rough is what I use to draw it a 3rd time as my polished final version. On my Penguin in the costume redesign contest that I believe is what a second version looks like.

@ramsillustrations: good thinking for my manga i had to do two rough drafts before creating an ink draft to work from then i had to create a pencil drawn copy with outlines done in pen-if that makes sense

Since working in digital helps cut time on the amount of erasing I do by just following the lines off of the layer below, it does take a good 2 or three to get the final version, no smudges, no picking up and cleaning brushes and sadly no originals,

but did I mention no cleaning or erasing? :p
