Public Domain Redesign Contest #4 - Dynamo

For this contest I'd like to see everyone's redesign of DYNAMO.

"Jim Andrews was a brilliant research scientist who, while conducting an electrical experiment, becomes caught between two giant electrodes. He finds that he can control electricity and thus create force fields to protect himself from bullets and fly through the air. He dons a misfitting helmet and vows to “defend humanity against the cruel ravages of criminals and war makers”. His adventures were actually pretty wild, often involving the consequences of his advanced scientific experiments. When drained of his powers he recharged himself by going to the nearest electrical outlet or railroad track"

@payno: Again this is one of my favorite PD characters, hoping this one gets some participation! Nice choice.

It would be great if this contest got posted topside, plenty of artists join the Public Domain Redesign Contest.

well, this is my redesign

i thought it looked boring black and white so i sharpie colored him, i need to find a flesh colored sharpie now

Cool I half expected to see Dynamo from T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents but Fox Dynamo is cool too, nice stuff.

@ARMIV2: Yup. A number of comic book characters being published today have names either purposely or coincidentally the same as PD characters. So the name Dr. Doom is PD but of course, not the Marvel version. ( like I had to even say that one ).

@payno: i was wondering are you allowed to redesign as the opposite gender just cause i got a cool idea for a female dynamo, but just want to check if thats allowed?

What happened to his feet?

Here is my redesign of DYNAMO. His costume features miniature generators on the chest and gauntlets, which generate and transfer electricity into his body, replenishing the energy that is depleted when he uses his power.

@ARMIV2: Nice job. He's got a bit of an evil look on his face. @payno: That's some slick design work. Very impressive. The colors are great as always.

Heres my entry, i actually planned to post this two days ago, but i was working on a background for the image which just shows her origin and how she got her powers, but that idea didnt work out so here it is

Jane Andrews was a sucsessful female fighter pilot. On one of her missions she flew right into a stragne electrical storm. Afterwards she crash landed into farmland an her ship was obliterated. Surprisingly Jane survived with no damages even though her plane was destroyed and her clothes missing. She stumbles upon a farm house and took some clothes that were hung out to dry until she heard a commotion within the house. The house was being robbed. She ran inside and the robber held a gun to her face, In defence she shoved the criminal away but instead of falling the man was blasted away through a wall. Jane had aqquired the power to send electrical discharges from her skin and absorb any electrical energy. Jane is constantly filled with electricity and struggles to maintain it so she designed a pair of gauntless that would absorb the energy she absorbs so she could then dispel it naturally or into a criminals stomach for JUSTICE!!!.
