Here's getting this contest back on track!

I was originally going to pick either Hugo Denner or Moongirl, but then I came across Nelvana and knew that she was the one to get this whole thing back on it's feet. Created by Adrian Dingle, Nelvana is apparently not only the first super heroine to come out of Canada, but she supposedly also predates Wonder Woman!

Born of the Inuit god Koliak (King of the Northern Lights) and a mortal woman, Nelvana's half-god powers included invisibility, immortality, the ability to fly "at the speed of light", transform into some kind of ice form, communicate telepathically, and call upon/use the Aurora Borealis (The Northern Lights; her father) to melt metal and jam radio broadcasts and such.

Deadline sometime on December 1st, yeah?

It wasn't working for me when I was making it. I suppose I can give it a shot now.

@ARMIV2: Cool. Glad you got this rolling again.

This was inspired by the Northern Lights and her half-god status. I know it's a HUGE departure from her original look, but I wanted to do something colourful and whimsical. :)

And we encourage that. Very nice and original entry.

this sounds like a great contest cause Nelvana sounds like a character who could work very well into comics nowadays, great choice hope we get an abundance of entries :D

@Isobel: Agree with ARMIV2, that's pretty much the point of the Public Domain Redesign. I like your use of colors, very moody as well.
