Public Domain Re-Design #25: Dr. Skull

So here's the deal. There is an obscure character named Dr. Skull whose arch-enemy was the Red Blazer. Here is some 4-1-1 from a public domain character site:

"Dr. Skull was apparently an alien scientist who wished to conquer the earth, and commanded a fleet of spaceships that was successful in bombing Washington D.C. He was a recurring enemy of The Red Blazer who he wished to destroy.

Dr. Skull enjoyed being carried or wheeled around, but he was actually fairly agile. He flew around in a space ship, built a headquarters in the side of a mountain cliff, and possessed a number of technological wonders, including a handheld ray gun. He was a highly intelligent scientist and invented a super drug that made men fearless. He was aided by a small army of human slaves and kept trained animals including an ape named Bolo and a team of huge and vicious tracking dogs."

Here is what he originally looked like:

If ever there was a comic book character from the public domain that was ripe for a re-design, it is this guy.

His name just cries out for something spooky and terrifying, esp as this is the month of October!

Deadline is Tuesday, October 22nd around 11:00 PM Central Standard Time USA.

Any medium accepted.

I'm in... but it's gonna be hard to do this and not make him look like Megamind. Not because their's a lack of options, but because I really want to make this guy look like Megamind... :)

@redscare: Maybe if you think along the lines of creepy? Use the skull theme instead?

Remember, as you know, this is a complete re-design of the character. You don'thave to make him anything like the original in any fashion! Make him something new, that's the name of the game.

Oh I'm already done drawing it... I was just joking around.

Ok, here we go, i started on something...

@decept_o: On artiom1q2w's art, I think that one is showing his interpretation of the character in a mech suit and the other is a close up of the character engaging the mech suit. It's the same design for the character in both.

Mine will be up tomorrow. 3pm-ish. I drew it like a week ago and totally slacked on coloring it.

My re-envisioning of Dr. Skull. The costume is a tattered version of a more formal attire the people of his planet wear. He has the ability of mass suggestion to make other's due his bidding. Hope you like it...

@godofart: Either you're misunderstanding but you show me one then you add even more variations. I don't know which one you want to add here. Please let me know.

@godofart: Really difficult trying to offer up a valid reply to your statement here as I am having trouble discerning if you're trying to be humorous, trolling, or outright wanting to get me irritated. I sincerely hope it is the first one and I am failing with your humor.

You posted SEVEN images. Seven. Then when I ask which one you want to use, you state "this one" but then show several others. You never said, "here are some bonus ones just for fun"---please read your statement. You then said, "and here are some cool special effects i added to it:" and you posed 3 more images.

Under no circumstances am I trying to make this difficult. All I want from you is to know which one image you want to submit as your official entry. I don't want to assume which one it is you want and then post it in the voting thread and then have you get annoyed because I failed to post the right one.

If you don't reply before tomorrow, I am going to go ahead and post the one I think you want to have in the contest despite my reservations. I am trying to be fair and considerate on your behalf.

@shatterstar: Yes I do believe it is but just to be 100% safe. I am being a bit of a transparent dummy but am trying to be fair and make certain he gets the one image he wants posted in the voting thread.
