Let's see what we can come up with for Electric Ray.
Golden Age Origin
Ray worked in a factory making parts vital for the war effort, but when he discovered that the FBI suspected saboteurs had infiltrated the plant, he decided to investigate. However, he was shoved off a gantry and fell into a dynamo. He survived because he was thrown free, but the incident left him with the ability to emit a lethal electrical charge, which he could release along conductors or by direct contact. He used his new power to kill the saboteurs (though he was trying to catch them alive). In order to prevent accidentally hurting anyone else, he wore rubber gloves.
Remember, you can make Electric Ray appear in any form, male, female, or any version you can think of creating.
Any type of medium accepted.
Deadline is June 14th, approximately 8:00 AM Mountain Time USA.
Ray worked in a factory helping to build parts and equipment that the military needed. He figured it was the most he could do as he was pretty handy with machines and was unable to enlist in the military due to a medical condition. He was well liked in the factory by his peers and management, his girlfriend supported him, and the pay was plenty nice, so the wasn't too much for Ray to complain about in his life. But late one night, as he was working a more lax shift, he came across at what first appeared to be fellow workers tinkering with one of the already finished machines, but he did not recognize them. He called out to them to see what was up, but to that they looked up and bolted. Ray chased after them on an impulse and followed them into one of the generator rooms. Upon getting one of the guys cornered upon a walkway, the man started to speak angrily yet matter-of-factly to Ray in Korean. Ray didn't recognize the language, but he wasn't about this guy get away when he was clearly up to nothing good. Ray made a grab for the guy and struggled with him a bit when the saboteur's accomplice made his way onto the walk way. They double-teamed Ray and tossed him into some of the equipment in the room. As he lay barely conscious, they short-circuited the device Ray was propped up against, hoping to electrocute him and be rid of their so-far only witness. They left Ray, thinking he was dead, and moved on out towards the exit. As they moved on, Ray began to stir rather suddenly after being bombarded with as much electrical current as he was. Through some stroke of luck, or maybe by the grace of God himself, Ray was not only alive, but he was pulsating with immense electrical power, though he did not know it yet. All he knew is that these crooks were still somewhere in the factory, and he was not about to let them get away. He came across them towards one of the building blocks closer to the exit. They had either killed or incapacitated at least three more guards since they "dispatched" of Ray. Without thinking, Ray charged one of the men and tackled him to the ground. As he punched him several times, his fists were discharging heavy amounts of electricity into the man, shocking and burning him with each and every blow. The other saboteur came charging at Ray with a metal pole, but as he swung and made contact with Ray's side, he was beginning to receive the same static shock treatment that his comrade has just experienced just seconds before. Ray grabbed hold of the pole, and a full forced electric shock came through and killed the man where he stood. After this, Ray tried to phone in what had just happened to his boss and management, but his new found powers kept short circuiting the phone. He thought it best to wait the night out for someone to come in the morning. Not soon long after the incident with the saboteurs, the FBI was brought in to investigate the scene, as the details regarding the saboteur's intent and demise became a top-interest to the suits in charge. They sent out for Ray, who had been taking to a hospital to care for his injuries. Remarkably, his body was completely fine save for the savage scar upon his face where the volts made their first contact. He was treated with insulated equipment as per request, as he was still pretty sure that just touching people would kill them. The FBI stepped in only a few days after his first hospital visit, and he was taken away to a more controlled environment.
----Time Jump----
In the present day, Ray is now on the run as a fugitive from the United States government. During his stay with the FBI, something caused him to have a falling out with them, and whatever it was, it was big. Ray had learned to control his powers to an even greater extent, as he is now able to wield his electric powers in a multitude of varieties, but this only made him out to be more of a menace to the general public as he was considered to be some kind of terrorist or psychotic of some sort. The last he has been able to speak with his girlfriend or anyone else that he knows was about a year or so after his initial breakout. Since then, he's practically been known as dead to them. He is wanted by different people for different reasons, but all he wants is to be able to fix the mess that has come with being the Electric Ray.
Just tried to post the voting thread but am unable to upload all the images. Contacted some Moderators, hopefully they can help. I am sorry about that but it is beyond my control. Very very frustrating.
