How Daniel Butz got his powers:

Daniel Butz was saved by Angels at the last second but some of the radiation leak into the force field of the Angels but not enough to killed him due to Angels protecting him and Aliens were cleaning the mess up that evil creatures made in the 8th realm.

The threat is that all of the villains in other dimensions was the one who blew up Daniel's friends, family and foes because they know which race can get all of their race in the 8 dimension. Will control the lives of all of the other dimensions.
