Me at 11 vs Me now (16)
@skinja: Really nice! Good dynamic pose. Very talented at 11. Your proportions have come a long way.
Much cleaner lines now but gotta love the ripped shirt at 11.
Well... that is how an artist grows...practice really does make things better. What you presented when you are 11 is your raw talent and now you are in your refinement stage.
Its always nice to see how an artist mature in his craft.
@skinja: quite an improvement , the proportions have gotten considerably better , and the details have come a long way
Was that Spidey Jr. in the first pic? Anatomy is a little weird still,do you use construction lines for your body(I can see it in the head)?
@oy_the_billy_bumbler: Really? I cant stand to look at my old work! The part I hate about it the most is how amazing I thought I was when I did it.
@jeanralphio: Nah that's the original Scarlet Spider. And I do use construction lines for my bodies they're just very light.
@somethingretarded69: Thank you. I still struggle with adding the right amount of detail though. It'll come with practice.
@iceprince_x: I really appreciate the kind words. I wonder what my drawings will be like in the next 5 years.
@ramsillustrations: Thanks! The ripped shirt was too 90's for me though :)
@skinja: Lol I was just kidding,he just looks like a kid spidey.
True but art practice is about learning how to draw anything regardless of the style and time it was supposedly in fashion.
Ripped shirts are still something that appear in comics today depending on the character and the story line.
The fact that you started drawing it even when you were 11 that says a lot for you. It looks like what it was supposed to even if you used a reference.
Many artists at your age or younger cannot always grasp the look it takes for any particular item or person or action, clothes, water etc.
So far, I can see you are heading in the right direction! :D
