I havent drawn in ages but I was bored so I had a go.

I like the card and the effect around it, but the face I'm not so fond of.

yeah i noticed that aswell. im going to keep practicing to sort out faces. theyre the only things i cant do!

Ha, same here. When I draw faces, they're not symmetrical.

yeah. i just hate them end of :) either the nose is too big or small or the eyes are wrong.

For me, one side of the face is wider than the rest. But hey, what can ya do? (Apart from practice.)

yeah :) thats what im gonna be doing from now on! and i might do a fan-fic aswell so i can practice my writing.

Just keep drawing.

It works better if you don't go in with something super specific in mind, and you just be random. Also, if you don't start off with fancy "pinups" (poster-like art, or grandiose portraits), and you practice the little things like faces extensively, then pieces like that Gambit one will turn out better.

Also, what helped me is seeing what sort of techniques other artists use for little details, like hands, or the contours of a characters face. I'm very inspired by Bruce Timm, Kevin Maguire, and others.

Yeah, breaking everything down and working on it until you get it the way you like it is a good way to go about things.

By all means, don't give up. Drawing & writing take practice. I'd love to see what you come up with.

well enna i just did a quick sketch now and inked it. i was going to do a man andawoman kissing but that was a bit difficult so i went mad and did this :)
