ASO organization help

I am making the Complete CV Museum de' Art. I think your art should be showcased for future generations. The good news is a lot of the threads in this forum are not the type to be archived "I need help threads" from 6 years ago and such.

The bad news is I have to open every thread to make sure the images have not been deleted or are not dead. I.E. This project will take some time. Till October at least. But it will happen eventually.

Edit: There are a LOT of dead images and useless threads in the back of this forum. At this rate I could be done by the end of the month.

Yea its a shame the way they redid images in the forums removed basically all the old images unless they were uploaded directly to the thread they originally appeared in. Big time consuming project you're taking on, good luck!

I have taken this up again, after an extended hiatus. And at the rate I am going I should be done next month. Also I re-used this thread. Al Gore would approve.

I'm totally going to stay on it this time. I promise. Unless I get distracted. Ooh! Shiny objects....

That sounds like a noble effort. However, I keep my own archive of my work and would prefer to not have any of mine removed or reposted. Thanks. :)

Okay guys, I need your help here. I see you have a dozen contest threads; is there a thread or threads about contest winners? Or do I need to make one? Also does anyone here have a Tumblr or Deviant Art page or whatever? I want to link peeps outside threads to promote your art to any curious eyes.

Are the Artist Showoff contests the same as the Artist Showoff Showdown contests?

@wildvine: Nope, we're good thanks to Shatterstar, I guess that is one thing you can cross off your list!

I know you're going to come across voting threads that will have dead images in them, that's because posters of the thread more than likely deleted the images from their gallery (since the old drag and drop method doesn't work anymore). Unfortunately with the newer setup, if they've done that, it kills the image in the thread.

I miss the old gallery days where you could create files and sort the images into different folders to keep things nice and organized.

Hey guys, I saw at least one vote thread in a winners thread that had no pics at all. Do either of you object to me making new vote threads with the images if I can find them? Or would either of you prefer to take the task yourself?

@wildvine: One of us probably has the images in our gallery to edit the thread. I think I saw a couple when I was updating the winners threads where the images vanished. Won't be surprised if you come across a few more. Just point us in the right direction and we'll fix it!

Unfortunately when I'm done with a contest and delete the art from the images on my profile they seem to disappear. I dont want to confuse people that I direct to my images to confuse anyone else's art with mine. It used to not do that. That's something the guys in charge of the software on the web pages of this site can fix but have not.

I think Wildvine you had this issue a while back...

@ramsillustrations: Yeah I used to do that too or put it into a file marked for contest pieces, but when I noticed the images vanished from the thread I thought, oops that sucks, lol.
