according to the wiki article decoupage is a form of art, so this forum seems to be the the right place to stick these. I am still new at doing this, but I get better every time.
1st up is a work in progress, the Avengers Vs Godzilla End table. I had a very beat up copy of Marvel Godzilla #23 and decided to put it to use. The book itself did not produce quite enough material so I printed out a few scans to make up the shortcoming. I know some would consider it sacrilege to use an actual comic on this, but the book was in tatters. I am still putting on coats of polyurethane.
2nd is the (mostly) Bronze Age, (mostly) Marvel Pedestal table. I found the table at a thrift store for a couple bucks. The top is a thin sheet of particle board and the pedestal is cardboard. No actual comics were harmed in the making of this table, just printouts of scans and screen captures. I lost track of how many coats of polyurethane I put on here, but it is a lot.
Eventually I will get around to selling these 1st two items, just can't make up my mind on how to do it. Etsy/eBay or do I try to get a local shop to let me sell it on consignment. Needless to say, shipping will be expensive due to size and/or weight with items like this.
And last up is my Comics spool table. It uses a combo of actual comic pages (modern/reprints) and printouts of scans/screen captures. This was the 1st decoupage project I did, so it has the most imperfections. I basically used a whole can of clear shellac to coat this sucker. As you can see it is not really themed, the images are from all over the comic spectrum. this table sits in my collection room.
Off topic: I have also done a couple of tables using printouts of Rock album covers.
