wow, you were not kidding when you said you went nuts on the detail, stunning Robert.
with that said, DavidR gets my vote.
Words were not needed for this sequence, but if they're gonna get used, you used the right ones. ;)
Hell of a rendition too. Most impressive work I've seen yet of yours.

Was impressed with all the entries on this one, a great visual treat today.

This is too hard!
They are all really good... I love Caligula's bloody panel idea, Payno's silhouette idea, The Lobster and DomDom distributed their panels amazingly well so they don't look crowded and are well balanced (Which is a really hard thing to do), I love EGoD's notebook idea and the Batman disappearing act is great, and I love the details on DavidR's!

I don't think I'm voting for this one...

I originally wanted to say that I loved your colors especially that aura around the gunshot. It makes it look like it's about to go into slow-mo and it's the cue to begin the choir room music!

Weeeeeell, I was hoping to extend this and have a few more votes but it's been about 4 days and it looks like EGoD edged out the competition by one vote. Congrats EGoD you are the winner! Nice job on this, really liked your approach.

If you want to start the next contest, great! If not PM me and I will try to get another one rolling along. I know this one can be a bit of a pain in the butt and if it's a hassle, I don't mind...
