this is the pencil draft for my design, I'll be inking it in the morning and then coloring it throughout the day. :D I gave her a bit of a cyberpunk look because I think it suits her and I threw in enough throwbacks to classic Jubes to make her recognizable. Also, she's holding a sparkler lol
@Kamitosis: lol, she's ready for the 4th of July with the sparklers :) good job, it's got the retro with little hints of some of her changes through the years and a nice dose of your own original blend mixed in.
@tonis: thanks. Costume design is one of my passions (i do concept art for that reason at an up start gaming company) so when I saw that this contest was going on I couldn't resist. Jubilee is my absolute fave and I have to admit, I do love vampires... as long as they aren't the cuddly Twilight kind. So this was a contest I had to jump on. :D
@J1ml33: I do. It's actually because your pic was on the jubilee deviantart group that caused me to find this. I totally dig it. Definitely loving the Joan Jett style hair do you gave her. Totally suits her.
I hope this isn't bad timing but I had this earlier today and decided to go ahead with it, as my other ones didn't have enough "Jubilee" in the costume designs. So I tried to keep the Vampire elements but added a bit more Jubilee here. And yes, the bat design for the top is actually intentional this time.... :)

@Decept-O: you do great work my friend (your picture is interesting to look at from both what jubilee was and in a way still is and that is a bright and perky talkative vampire with a heart of gold !)
Here is my interpretation. My vision is that Jubilee rejoins the Xmen. The costume has an zipper accessible hood that can cover her during the daylight hours.She changes her code name to Mourning Star. ( A play on words Jubilee meaning celebration, and Mourning meaning, well mourning).
Vampire Jubilee Redesign annnnd colored. I totally had to throw some retro elements in there along with the cyberpunk goodness. That and I always saw Jubilee being a bit punk so thus the pink strip in her hair. I also decided to incorporate her old jacket now in tatters and the light bending amulet to help with that pesky sunlight is bad problem. All the other entries look great so far!
Didn't think I was gonna get to jam on this one, but Wondy took a long time to render and I got lucky to get some time to chow on juju beans.
She put up a hell of a fight with my system however, even with 12gb of ram the lighting and scenery I was trying to use kept blowing out the renders. Damn mutants. Thanks again Ice for holding the boat till I got this in, you'd make a rockin editor to work for :)

thx, wouldn't be a vampire party without fangs :) I did decide to go trippy on her power bubbles cause Ice got me all twitchy with his Deathlok and she has the same kind of rainbow effect that one couldn't resist using when possible.
