ComicVine Artist Show-Off Showdown #1

This is a chance for the artists of the vine to test their skills against one another.

Deadline: 1 week from today- August 4th 12am EST

Character- [Starting with something simple & current] The Joker

Theme- any

Medium- any (pencils, charcoal, CGI, whatever)

Rules- Upload your images to your myvine page, flikr, photobucket, whatever and post it here in this thread. Sketches have to be your own work, started & completed within the timeframe of the showdown. Please don't cheat,  this is about having fun and measuring your and others abilities. After the deadline someone will start a new thread for people to vote for the winner & we'll keep that thread open for 24 hours.  Winner picks the character/theme & deadline for the next week's showdown.

I'm assuming you can do whatever you want (his normal look, a new costume, how he might look in another universe, or whatever idea you have) since the theme is "any". It just has to be the Joker.

What? It's an art contest. Draw the Joker how you want to and people will come and say which one they think is best, yours or someone else's. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding this it should be pretty easy to judge.

Is anyone going to post some art.I have a Dark Knight..Heath Ledger Joker drawn..but if no one is going to post anything.I don't see the point.

If no one else posts then you win by default. It actually makes more sense to post your art if no one else is going to. (Also, there's a week left.)

I don't know if it would be fair; If i pic an exelent pic of Joker I might already have the advantage. Also it would be more difficult to judge, it's what i think.

I will give you some competition.
Sketchor I like your joker and none of this is directed towards you, However I was gonna suggest a few things for this show off.
1 I think the work should not be of anything already drawn or photographic
2. it should included the hands which we all know several artist leave off on purpose
3. lets chill on the photoshop stuff. I have much respect for it yet I think we all know its a bit too easy to make something look professional without necessarily displaying  pencil skills.

Just my thoughts on the contest  I will compete.

You never know, people might dig your style or something you do creatively that will get more votes than Sketchor's. Props to Spider-Pantrelli for showing off his work.
