Comic feedback? :)
Hiya, I was pointed here by an art friend. Lately I decided to go ahead and give making a comic a try (sounds like fun) and have tried a couple of styles before coming to the one I am at now (the name of the comic is going to be "Bloom" btw). I would love it if anyone had some feedback for it so far! (only a couple pages). Right now the tone is darker and the characters are more shillouette, but it will brighten up after this sequence and the story moves on (so the entire thing won't be so gloomy).
Also Frisch is right more define lines will make it stand out more....
One more thing on the second page on the panel with the lips... it took me a while to figure out they were lips... maybe a little more lighting on them
Thanks a bunch :) I'm really happy you like them! :D
The story is going to be pretty long (hopefully! it's always a good idea to leave room for more things to happen P:) right now it is just setting the stage for the main character and where she comes from.
Oh, when you say to add more defined lines... do you mean cleaner edges? I don't really draw with lines like you would a pencil or something like that, it's more just painting (so much more relaxing! :D). Unless you are talking about the lines between panels?
Thanks again for the feedback and help (ill try to fix the face panel at the bottom haha, my sister thought it was a lion o.O )
Here are a couple more pages :) I think I need to go back and brighten up a few panels / areas.... guurrr.
This is all done with paint? Very nice. I, to, would like to have a bit of discription of what's happening and why, but I would hate to see it in the pannels. I'm thinking dialog and story on a facing page to correspond with the pannels.

oh no no, it's all digital (digital painting :D). I been thinking about what I should do about the dialogue too... didn't really plan out too well on the panels where I would put things, was just gonna try to fit them in somewhere heh.
here are a few more :)
humm, it's as hard to learn as normal drawing. Just instead of shading with a marker or something like that, I use a digital brush. I think digital gives a lot more freedom and lot less mess though (so it's a lot more relaxing! unless you keep drawing something wrong... for 5 hours... and then you kind of go crazy....which also happens to be the reason I'm short of my 2 page a day goal! gaaaaah! lol)
It reminds me oddly enough of Ben Templesmith style art, very dark and simple with an edge, I really like it! keep up the great work
