For this one, lets see who can create the best Tyrannical Ruler/king/monarch of any sort...in the drawing it doesnt have to show what he/she is the king of but it would be nice and it doesnt have to be your typical intimidating tyrant. If it doesnt show on the pic just type in a caption stating name and what he/she rules over. This was just a quick idea i thought would be nice but if not enough people like i can change it.

Due date is July 2nd...good luck!

This should be very interesting considering how open to interpretation it is. I like it.

 Lord Arkley
Lord Arkley: King of the land Thunder also known as Thunderville(which is really a bad name but Arkley refuses to change it) Arkley pretends to be a tyrant but that's mostly just to keep up appearances. One of the "enemies" from a game idea I have. His looks based off the Crystal King from Paper Mario, but he's darker and less royal looking.

Not very good, but hey at least it will make the real art look all the better. :D

@Caligula: Nice work, very Frank Frazzeta. (oddly enough the first thing that popped into my head though was korgoth of barbaria haha)
#11 Posted by Caligula (12417 posts) - - Show Bio
@LT1085: thanks Frank is big inspiration to me, I hope to have even a thimble of that mans talent one day.

and Korgoth Rocks, whatever happened to that show?
#12 Posted by LT1085 (3658 posts) - - Show Bio
@Caligula:  Don't we all. I don't think Korgoth made it beyond the pilot, sadly...It had SO much potential for ass-kickery...I'm going to watch it right now actually!
#13 Posted by Caligula (12417 posts) - - Show Bio
@LT1085: hell yeah, Adult Swim, should consider trying it a second time. also I really like the second Metalocalypse episode I believe, the one that opens with the  "Thunder Horse" video. it was inspiration for this as well

@LT1085:
Yeah first contest, first submision , first time really ever drawing for a contest. I have just been doodling pretty much my whole life.I need work on my shading and don't know how to color it , but thank you! I was a little hesitant to enter at first, seeing the fierce competition on the boards, but it's actually really fun and exciting . So, yeah , I definitely want to do more contests, especially since the great support I am getting.
Thanks again!

NOT AN ENTRY!!!!    NOT AN ENTRY!!!!    NOT AN ENTRY!!!!

 I repeat, this is not an entry. It was made 4 years ago so go figure. I just wanted to share this since it's fairly related to the topic. And yeah I'm too arrogant for even posting this.. Hehehehehe! Forgive me, it's just my nature.

Well, some of my oldest works, I might have improved but the lines just leave me once : P

Juggernaut Cyclop
#39 Posted by LT1085 (3658 posts) - - Show Bio
@Omegaman10:  @DavidR:  Thank you, sirs.
@kenshiroo: Nice work, but why are there two separate images? Are you trying to imply that it's a Samus/Metroid sort of thing or what? I'm confused.
#40 Posted by NexusOfLight (1715 posts) - - Show Bio

Just so you know I haven't forgotten. I'm almost done with the lines. A few details need to be added here and there, and then I'm going to take a stab at coloring. I think I might make the deadline.

#41 Posted by kenshiroo (920 posts) - - Show Bio
@LT1085: Thanks, what happens is that the image of Juggernaut I had to photocopy from my sketchbook and went dark; these are old works and have a bit of fungus. Both are two different compositions in terms of thematic and the intention of drawing ( the first is a portrait I did of a model and the second inspires me in an old video game as the Avengers on Genesis ). I don’t put them as a couple but can be at the discretion of the viewer.

@DavidR: thanks man, it's been a minute since you been active.

 [quoted from the guidelines] Art must be started and completed in the timeframe of the showdown.

@LT1085:  Hmm, then maybe I'm wrong topic, really I do not want to compete with anyone.

DESCRIPTION:
After witnessing his brother's defeat at the hands of Wonder Woman, Hades devised his own plan to destroy the Amazon.  He tricked his forced wife Persephone into forming a baby girl from a thousand dead warrior babies.  Mislead into thinking she would be freed, Persephone was then killed by Hades.  Usually, when a godess would be killed, they'd just go to the Underworld, but Hades forced her essence into a staff that his new daughter would one day wield.  After being brought up in the pits of taurtarus and the Underworld, Sonyanka brought an army of undead to Mt. Olympus.  She slaughtered all of the gods and Hades trapped them in the Underworld.  Ruling Mt. Olypmus, Queen Sonyanka rules over Mt. Olympus with a staff strong enough to kill gods. This hall happens under a vail of magic keeping Wonder Woman blind into thinking everything is normal on Mt. Olympus..
