Capture the Moment #2

Hey guys thanks everyone who voted for me in the last contest and well done to the other entries as well. It's an honor to win the first round of this awesome new competition.

For anyone who doesn't know, the aim of this is to draw a splash page picturing the event below. One speech bubble or item of text allowed; we're trying to let the image tell the story.

So for #2 I was thinking this:

Batman is exploring an abandoned warehouse where he believes he will find a clue to a recent string of murders. Suddenly he notices an eerie glow coming from underneath a door. Hesitating for only a moment to pull out a batarang, he wrenches the door open. What he finds on the other side is a glowing portal, and out steps the last person he expected to see..

Let me know if that's ok or if I should specify who he sees.

I agree, I like the idea, and giving g the artist the choice gives a bit of room for fun.

Do we have to show who steps out, or just his reaction?

@battle_forum_junkie: I think you can pretty much interpret the scene how ever you want.

@battle_forum_junkie: Yeah as @anbu_b_team said, take that description and draw what you see. It's like this is the script given to you from a writer, and you're drawing the comic!

@bennyq just a word of advice I guess and this goes to anyone that might win this contest- like the crank those panels contests you might want to provide more time for people to get entries for this contest series since the work involved is going to be a lot more extensive than other contests where pinups and splash pages typically win the day.

Sure, hopefully we start seeing some entries.

I am going to be submitting,especially now with the extension. I have changed my mind a few times on who's coming through, though...

Maybe someone will have Batman come through the portal...

Where are all the entries...? I have a sketch.....a very, very rough sketch. I am hoping to post something this weekend.

Only one contestant, mine as well give them some competition eh? :P

Not good at coloring (or backgrounds so kept it simple) added the red laces as a hint as to who it is though. Bat head is just a random thing, got a little distracted while drawing.\

Super sketchy and not very fleshed out, but I will continue to improve on that so it's not so bland, anywho wanted to at least put something up.
