We all love comic art, right? That's a big part of what makes comics so fun. It's a visual medium. We love comic art so much that each week we seek out as much art as we can find. Art from comic book artists that won't appear in comics. These artist often do sketches and commissions and post them on their Tumblrs, blogs and websites. They are just way too good not to get as much attention as possible.
Punisher had a big week with the debut of PUNISHER WAR ZONE #1. Mitch Breitweiser posted this great Punisher commission on his website this week. He also posted a sweet Doctor Doom as well.
== TEASER ==Joel Gomez will be at Long Beach Comic Con next week. He posted some more sketches for the forthcoming UpperDeck 2012 Marvel Premier Sketch Card Set on his Tumblr. And check out the sketch covers he did as well.
Mike Allred realized that he's done a bunch of sketches and hasn't shown them off. He posted a bunch of "re-do" covers on his blog and you can buy original Mike Allred art over at gotsuperpowers.com. Ginchy or what?
Dustin Nguyen will also be at Long Beach Comic Con next week. Here's a Chun-Li commission he posted on his Tumblr.
Have you heard about The Goon Kickstarter project? Skottie Young posted this Goon sketch on his Tumblr this week.
Paolo Rivera posted what I assume are more commissions on his blog this week. Wonderful as always.
Philip Tan is still posting awesome sketches on his Facebook. Take a look at his Power Girl and Yellow Jacket.
Peter Nguyen posted this Zatanna vs. Constantine on his Tumblr this week. Who do you think is going to win?
This first commission Chris Giarrusso posted on his website is kind of funny. He was asked to draw Randy "Macho Man" Savage. I was at his table at NYCC when he was thinking over what he was going to do. It's a cool process seeing how these sketches actually come about. He also posted a Spidey and Cap sketch cover.
Denis Medri posted a few sketches on his Deviant Art page this week. Check out his Jaws, Loki redesign and Hobbit preview.
You can have a group of Awesome Art Picks without some Batman. Usually there's a lot of Batman. This week, Mike McKone posted one on his TwitPic page.
Cameron Stewart posted a couple commissions on his Tumblr. He mentioned he is only taking commissions in person so far. You'll have to track him down at a convention.
Brett Booth posted a sketch of Wolverine on his blog. He mentioned it's been about ten years since he's actually drawn him.
Agnes posted some commissions on her Tumblr this week.
Todd Nauck posted some nice pieces this week on his Tumblr.
Check out his battle-damaged Spider-Man.
This was actually given away. Here's the details on how and why from Todd's Tumblr:
I run a contest on Twitter at most all the conventions I attend now. People are invited to retweet the sketches I post at that con and at the end of the weekend, one random retweeter will receive a head sketch of the character of their choice.
This is what the winner of my New York Comic Con 2012 Sketch Retweet Contest chose: Battle Damaged Spider-Man.
Next contest will be during Long Beach Comic Con Nov 3-4, 2012.

That's it for this week. Next week I will also be at Long Beach Comic Con. Hope to see you there!
