Every week we gather up the coolest comic book art that you won't see in actual comic books. The reason you won't is because artists often do sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their blogs, websites and Tumblrs. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out for more information.

Looks like Chris Samnee started a Tumblr and has posted a couple new sketches.

Philip Tan has been posting more commissions and sketches on his Facebook once again.

I always love it when Gabriel Hardman posts a Star Wars sketch on his blog.

Skottie Young posted some new sketches on his site this week on his website.

Mike Allred posted this pin-up of Madman and Sabretooth Swordsman on his blog to celebrate the release of the book by Damon Gentry and Aaron Conley.

Todd Nauck posted more art on his Tumblr. (We need to get him on an X-Men comic!)

We have to wait for the new BLACK WIDOW series with art by Phil Noto but here's some early promo art he posted on his Tumblr.

Chris Giarrusso posted more art on his website (some are still up for sale).

Ron Salas posted this really cool COMMISH Gordon pic on his site.

Peter Nguyen posted a Rogue sketch on his Tumblr.

Marcio Takara posted the inked version of Judge Dredd on his Tumblr (we saw the penciled version last week) as well as some colored pieces.

Michael Walsh posted this sketch of Heisenberg MODOK on his Tumblr. There's nothing else that needs to be said.

Robert Atkins posted this Avengers sketch on his blog. You can checked out a colored version there as well.

Gene Gonzales posted some more Conventionless Sketches on his blog.

Yildiray Cinar posted some commissions on his Instagram page.

Daniel HDR posted these commissions on his Tumblr.

Chris Burnham posted a few more sketches on his Twitter page.

Tom Raney posted this Harley sketch on his Twitter for a charity auction that took place at the Albany comic con.

Joel Gomez posted some more sketch covers and UpperDeck sketch cards on his Tumblr.

Mike McKone posted this work-in-process sketch of Black Cat on his Twitter.

It was announced that Ryan Stegman would be drawing a WOLVERINE book. Check out the sketches he posted on his Tumblr.

Mahmud Asrar has been busy. Here's some recent commissions he posted on his Tumblr.

That's it for this week. We'll have more art coming next time.

Yay. A little more blogs and tumblrs to follow!

I can't help just "liking"Mahmud Asrar, Daniel HDR and Marcio Takara art the most on Tumblr.

I really want to learn how to ink wash, water color or whatever technique that Manapul and Asrar use.

Two Thorfrogs in one week= Awesome!

Todd Nauck's Havok is one of my favorites, I love how he uses the classic look. Also that Tony Stark reflection in the Iron Man helmet is incredible.

These are the best

Love the Rogue and Doc Doom piece. Skottie Young is awesome as usual (Fror! Or Throg?). Phil Noto seems to be the perfect choice for a Black Widow book.

But please don't put Nauck on an X-title. I can't tell why, but I'm not a fan of his work. Maybe it's because of the way he draws lips...

That Mud has the right idea. Do good commisions but be lazy and uncreative as hell on your regular title.

#39 Posted by Decept-O (7275 posts) - - Show Bio

Have to agree, I think this week really was above the norm from most of the artists. Just WOW. A few pieces, well, honestly, had me scratching my head but most of it on display is just beyond words.

I mean, Gene Gonzales...dude...and M.Asrar, I am in awe of their work. Not to forget most of the artists so forgive me for not mentioning them all.

I usually end up sharing the art I like from this every Saturday on my Facebook page. A number of people enjoy it, so it is wonderful that @g_man takes the time to find these from the respective artists to view. Always a blast and always inspirational.

Mahmud Asrar's stuff looks awesome, probably my favorite this week.

#47 Posted by charlieboy (7159 posts) - - Show Bio

Nauck should draw an X-book. Loved it. Also loved the Julia Carpenter/Spider-Woman/Arachne pic.

#49 Posted by Decept-O (7275 posts) - - Show Bio

That Medusa piece still gets me, really love it!

#50 Posted by Miss_Garrick (1757 posts) - - Show Bio

This one is my favorite

Angel is all "whee! This is fun! Isn't this fun?!"

And Magneto is all grumpy.
