Awesome Art Picks: Harley Quinn, Spider-Gwen, Storm, and More

Each week we gather up the coolest comic book art you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often draw for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs, or Tumblrs. Some artists even pre-arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out.

This weekend is the Long Beach Comic Con. Todd Nauck will be there. Check out the classic Captain Britain and Meggan he posted on his Tumblr.

Oh man, a lot of great stuff this week! Deodato's stuff is freakin' fantastic. I love Henderson's Red Sonja & his Volstagg, awesome & hilarious! I really like Takara's Rocket & Spider-Woman, that one made me smile. Cinar's DD piece is exquisite; & I also really love Daniel HDR's Cap & Firestorm. (Classic Ronnie Raymond/Martin Stein, the only way to go!) Lots more great stuff here, those are the high points for me though. Kudos to all these fantastic artists providing us these masterpieces for our viewing pleasure!

Meh... This week.

This is an unfinished sketch, Needham Comic's Monkey Boy, if Jim Henson's Creature Shop made the animatronic face and costume for the movie like they did for the Ninja Turtles movie.

No shortage of great stuff this week. Man, I'd kill to have that Batman, Green Arrow and The Question piece by Gabe Hardman. Loved seeing the Norm Rapmund sketches. He did a Green Arrow cover sketch for me a while back. Super nice guy.

These take forever to load now. They used to load instantly, did you guys change something? It's not my computer/internet connection either. Don't get me wrong, I love checking out the Awesome Art Picks every week, but I hope it's fixed so that the pics load like they used to.

The Spider-Gwens are my favorite this week. That character has such a good look, the color and design go together amazingly well. Easy to recognize, too.

There's some really good stuff in here. I really like Henderson's style especially. If I saw that Martian Manhunter as a print I would have to buy it. Same with Rapmund's Nightwing cover, excellent job.

That Galactus/Silver Surfer is amazing. I want that on my wall.
