We all love comic book art, right? Each week we gather up the coolest comic art that will never appear in actual comic books. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or for commissions and post them on their websites, blogs, Tumblrs and Twitter pages. They are too cool to be overlooked.
This week we had a new issue of TEEN TITANS and check out Brett Booth's take on Earth 2 Batman, Earth 2 Robin/Huntress and...Blue Falcon and Dyno-Mutt posted on his blog.
== TEASER ==Todd Nauck continues mixing things up by posting sketches on different mediums on his Tumblr. This week he's posted sketches done with watercolor and Pigma Micron markers as well as the iPad Paper53 app.
Dustin Nguyen has been drawing a lot of vampires and violence for AMERICAN VAMPIRE: LORD OF NIGHTMARES. He decided he needed to draw some lighter stuff and posted them on his Tumblr.
As we await the second issue of Ryan Stegman on FANTASTIC FOUR, he did post a couple sketches on his Tumblr to tide us over.
Fan Expo is going on this weekend. Sadly, we are not there. But Michael Walsh is one of many that is attending. Check out these limited prints he'll be selling posted on his Tumblr.
Are you ready for more Batman? Here's a great Chris Giarrusso posted on his site along with another Tribute Tuesday.
Denis Medri has been doing a lot of re-imaginings lately but this week he posted a nice tribute to Top Gun on his Deviant Art page. It might not be comic related but there was a character named Iceman...
New York Comic-Con will be here soon and Daniel HDR is getting ready by working on some pre-convention commissions. Check out his Tumblr for more information.
Joel Gomez did a few sketches this week and posted them on his Tumblr.
Marcio Takara has been posting a lot of sketches and colored pics on this Tumblr this week. That's always a good thing.
Paolo Rivera posted a couple older character studies he did for Ghost Rider and Doc Ock on his blog this week.
Peter Nguyen is also at Fan Expo this weekend (sitting at P48b). Here's some pre-commissions he posted on his Tumblr.
Mike McKone posted some commissions along with a cover reproduction of WONDER WOMAN #229 on his TwitPic page.
Philip Tan is continuing to post sketches on his Facebook page.
That's it for this week. Hopefully we'll be seeing a load of more new art next week with Fan Expo happening. If you ever run into any artists that we feature here, be sure to let them know you've seen their stuff here. If you know of any other pro-artists with blogs or Tumblrs we should be looking at, let me know.
