Awesome Art Picks: Darth Vader, Nick Fury, Spider-Gwen, and More

Each week we search for the best comic book art that you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs, and Tumblrs. Some artists also prearrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out.

Mike Henderson posted a bunch of new art on his Instagram. He's selling original art HERE.

Dustin Nguyen posted a few new sketches on his Tumblr. Don't forget to ask your comic shop to add DESCENDER to your pull list.

Greg Smallwood posted some sketches on his Twitter page.

This Spider-Gwen image is appearing on an actual comic (it's a Midtown Comics variant for the second issue) but check out Mike Deodato Jr's pencils for it posted on his Tumblr.

Kris Anka posted a pic of Marvel's "slutty royals" and has been drawing a bunch of different Captain America's and posted them on his Tumblr.

Joel Gomez posted some new sketches on his Tumblr. The Spider-Gwen image was colored by Beth Sotelo and will be a print at shows they attend.

Ron Salas posted a Doctor Strange pic on his Tumblr.

Ray-Anthony Height posted some new art on his Tumblr.

Chris Giarrusso posted some more sketch cards on his website. His new book, The G-Man Super Journal is out on Tuesday. It's really good.

Norm Rapmund posted some new pics on his Twitter, including some old sketches he recently colored.

Peter Nguyen posted a new Aquaman pic on his Tumblr along with the finished Spider-Gwen we saw a glimpse of last week.

Gonna get alot of hate for this one, but I'm sick of Spider-Gwen. Give it a rest...

For me, it's Mike Deodato Jr.'s Spider Gwen Pencil. His art is simply spectacular.

I love Tom Raney's daily sketches. Wish he'd do something creator owned, I love his ideas. The Gene Gonzales stuff was exceptional too. Every week these two guys blow me away.

IKR, he's obviously a very talented artist but something about his artwork kind of annoys me too

Always found his work a bit wonky and slightly out of proportion... Never been a big fan. but on the other hand, I don't have much against it.

Well, Spider-Gwen's costume does need some work. DOnt like how more than half of it is empty black.

Todd Nauck's colors are amazing! The blending and layers on stuff like Nightcrawler's Bamf cloud is out of this world. On his Symbiote Spidey he does a fantastic job of creating lines with shading, all on a post it note.

Really digging RAH's sketch covers. He pack so much detail into backgrounds and faces, just like his Spidey "PhotoBomb" cover.

This outfit is a million times better then Emma's current look. It should be her current outfit.

Or if they really wanted to push this idea that she doesn't wear white anymore cause she is broken then make it all black except leaving the belt and jacket white.

I also don't think I would mind a shirtless Namor. Just as long as he doesn't get a speedo again.
