It's time once again to check out some of the coolest comic art you won't see in comic books. If it's so cool, why won't you see them in comics? Comic book artists like to draw. It's what they do. They don't just draw for the books they're working on. They often sketch for fun on their blogs and for commissions at conventions. It's also a way for them to experiment or simply draw the characters they really want to try who might not appear in the book they're actually working on.
This week, let's start off with Peter Krause. Peter has worked on the majority of Irredeemable issues among other titles. Check out his version of Wesley Dodds, the Golden Age Sandman Peter posted on his Twitter.
He also posted some others this week. Check out his Silver Surfer and Galactus, Spirit and Spider-Man with the Rhino.
I'm at Long Beach Comic Con this weekend and so is Peter Nguyen. Check out his Dark Phoenix commission along with his Jem and the Holograms pic he was asked to do for Hasbro.
Have you had enough Arkham City yet? Is that even possible? Check out Dustin Nguyen's Mr. Freeze and Nora from his Tumblr (Dustin is also at Long Beach this weekend).

This next Francavilla art is sort of breaking the rules. It will be seen in a comic but he posted the original version. It's the cover for Captain America and Bucky #626. But when we see it, it'll be covered with the logo, upc, etc.
