Each week we gather up the coolest comic book art you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, Tumblrs or blogs. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out.

Yildiray Cinar posted some new sketches on his Instagram page.

Rob Guillory was at Wizard World New Orleans and posted some commissions he did on his Twitter page.

Ryan Stegman posted a Joker sketch he did on his Tumblr.

Mahmud Asrar posted some "Germany Tour 2014" pre-show commissions on his Tumblr.

Peter Nguyen posted an X-Men sketch that he'll ink and try to add Jubilee on his Tumblr.

Ray-Anthony Height started a "Mainstream Monday" post on his Tumblr. The art then went on eBay (and is already sold). Check it this Monday to see if he adds another.

Skottie Young posted some more Daily Sketches on his Tumblr.

Mike McKone was also at Wizard World New Orleans and posted some of his commissions on his Twitter.

Clay Mann posted this Storm commission on his Tumblr.

Brett Booth decided to draw a different speedster on his blog last week. Check out his Earth 2 Flash.

Joel Gomez posted some sketches on his Tumblr.

Dustin Nguyen posted a few sketch designs on his Tumblr this week. He mentioned how he redesigned the Spoiler costume and originally wanted the well in there but it didn't quite work. He also posted some Harper Row studies and his sketches for the upcoming LI'L GOTHAM figures. The last is because he wants Nick Wechsler to play Daredevil

Todd Nauck posted this X-Factor version of Iceman on his Tumblr and a sketch cover on his Instagram.

Marcio Takara posted some penciled sketches on his Tumblr. He'll be inking and posting later.

Chris Giarrusso sometimes posts sketches on his website and puts them up for sale. The Iron Man cover is still available.

Check out the art Rod Reis posted on his Tumblr.

That's it for this week. Let us know what you thought. We'll have more awesome art next time.

The only reason I wish I had more money is to buy and frame comic book art. Some of these are definitely amazing!

Marcio Takara! I love you for drawing Yoko from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! One of the greatest animes of all time. "Do the impossible, see the invisible, Ro! Ro! Fight the power!" "Your drill is the one that will pierce the heavens!" "Who the hell do you think I am?" "Don't believe in the me that believes in you, believe in the you that believes in you!" "Make the impossible, possible, that's the team Dai-Gurren way!"

Goddamn, that show is so awesome.

Good works! but no Witchblade :-(

All the pics were amazing. Why does Asrar's red head with the goggles have camel toe? Kind of off putting on a rather beautiful piece of art.

These are fantastic every week, but I can't look at them anymore. The sketches just make me want some original art I can't afford that much more.

Everything Peter Nguyen did is awesome.

I really like a lot of this art, Ray-Anthony Height's Nova and Peter Nguyen's X-men art are my favorites among these. Although Ryan Stegman's Joker is really creepy(but it is cool).

It's been four years since I first saw it. It's still my favorite anime.

couldnt DC have just used a retcon to rename Harper Row to Stephanie Brown? The last thing the bat-family needs is to have more characters associated with him. & its NOT like its going to help these new characters get a higher profile. In a year, Harper will be Batgirl. The next event will have her going "back to basics" in her costume. Then she'll be removed from existance once the new52 ends & the real continuity is restored.

i'm sorry, but why isn't rod reis at least drawing covers?

#45 Posted by Decept-O (7682 posts) - - Show Bio

Very impressive selection of art. The stand-outs are Supes and Bats by R. Reis as well as the great work by M. Asrar ( as usual!) and Clay Mann's 80's Mohawk punk Storm. Just to add, the African safari background Mann added for the Storm piece was a great touch.

That Pete Nguyen X-sketch should totally be a book cover.
