My take on Deathlok

@iceprince_x: haha is that a butterfly on his knee? God I hope so that is a excellent touch. Yours looks more "Deathlok-y" then mine does for sure, great job!

@Mrfuzzynutz: good to note you notice that little detail. I wanted a bit of humor on him for such a serious and bad-ass character he he he

@plut0n WOW what is your medium? all digital? or is this traditional?

#22 Posted by WaveMotionCannon (5181 posts) - - Show Bio

@pluton. That's some dark Boris Vallejo stuff, can't stop looking at it.

#23 Posted by BumpyBoo (7676 posts) - - Show Bio

@plut0n:

Holy crap that's incredible!! O_O

#24 Posted by PLUT0N (65 posts) - - Show Bio

I want to THANK all of u for the great comments!!! really made my day... :)

now about the medium... its traditional at the beginning...pencils and then some watecolors for the shadows (watercolors brushes are more visible at the background) and then I finish it with digital painting

(as I have already said on a previews post its pretty much Ben s Templesmith technique)

I'd love to see a step by step of one of your pieces sometime.

@plut0n: Your technique is something I can never accomplish but I am in awe of it. Always on the fence about anyone using digital means to create artwork because too many people simply trace an image and call it their own.

However, when someone is able to use the method creatively without blatantly copping out, I can try and have an open mind. Therefore, all my rambling aside, I like this, I like it quite a bit.

Wonder how the voting process will go on this one.

Drew this on my phone while at work and some quick colors added on my computer... No corrections made to the actual lined drawing.

@ramsillustrations:

Alright, well I already said this to another user on this thread but it bears repeating:

YOU DREW IT ON A PHONE?!?! O_O

Stunning piece, mate. Love it. And the colours are so vibrant, too :D

@bumpyboo:

Thanks BumpyBoo, I draw many sketches on my phone when I have ideas but they are usually roughs for later reference. This is the first that I actually had a closer to finished version. I took a cue from Artiom and decided, why not? So here's that version above, I drew my actual entry on my PC last week but I have been working on a storyline today and did some final touches to it this afternoon. Hope you approve. :P

Also, for anyone wanting to enter, the Voting starts after midnight tonight so get your entries in. Need more time? Let me know....
