Artist Showcase 2011 - July Submission Thread

B&W Submission

Done in 2mm HB Faber Castel Clutch Pencil, Sharpie, and  1,2 and 5 mm Pilot Drawing Pens.

I did this for my friends eighteenth just today, the scanner quality is awful and I have no Photoshop to darken my lines, so it looks a bit faint and blurry.

cause I've never had a friend give me something artistic for a b-day present. I'm not talking about the people I know online or anything like that, I'm talking about all the lazy asses I sit around with and do stuff like play poker and party. There isn't an artist in the whole bunch.

Oh, you're talking about Real Life? Yeah, my Real Life is kinda sucky right now too. It could be a lot better. But it could be a lot worse too. :-)

well nothing really sucky hanging with the gang but not very creative or imaginative, just somewhat boring :)

@TypingKira: oh I do love that one TK, killer choice. Yea you can enter one image for each medium, being 'Traditional', 'Digital', 'Color', 'B&W', and 'Panel/Webcomic'.

This one could be used for Digital or Color if you choose. (or both)

yea I've seen the Aspen, the new one for me was the Captain. Him and Supes are my all time two favs. The way you buffed him up and presented him is so cool. That's how he should look :)

I draw in Sharpie (Made in the U.S.A. by the way!) 
Then color in Photoshop.  
This page has the most sound effects I think that I have ever used in one image.

Woah lots of fierce entries this month; this is going to be quite a competition! ;)

Woo Hoo, I was gone for the weekend and will need a little recovery time to soak everything in but we got some HOT works for July and I'm eager to show it off.

I've got everything that's been posted so far organized and ready, but with these new flood rules, I'm gonna have to stagger the polls a little more than usual.

So tonight there'll be the first two, and the next two will come tomorrow afternoon sometime, with another two polls coming every couple of hours as rules permit till they're all covered.
