Artist Show-Off Showdown #89: Hulk or Black Widow

This is my first Showdown posting hope ever one likes the selection.

The Avengers movie is coming out soon, so I thought it would be cool to use the Hulk and Black Widow or just the HULK for Showdown #89.

Black Widow has already been done so you may choose to draw just the HULK or if you would like you can draw Hulk and Black Widow together.

I like the contrast between the two characters. Check out some examples I pulled off the net for reference.

It was brought to my attention that Black Widow was already used. So I guess this will be THE HULK showdown.

Black Widow was show off #87, Hulks never been used though.

@ProofPudding: yea the list hasn't been updated with the most recents yet, they're usually a couple behind at any given time.

I guess a Hulk vs Black Widow would be for another challenge wouldn't it?

yea, that'd fit for the battle contest, although poor widow would not fare too well in that battle :)

So what is the purpose of this challenge? You just pick one or the other and draw them? Or do you draw them together? This isn't a VS thing, right?

@ZZoMBiE13: this particular contest is just the 'regular' artist show off one. No real theme other than picking a character for the most part.

Widow was done 2 contests back but if you pair her up with the Hulk there's certainly nothing wrong with that :)

Long as you get the Hulk in there your pretty much good to go.

Wow. Lots of cool entries here. Love that zombie Hulk!

I went simple with my Hulk. Just a pretty basic pose, nothing fancy. I do enjoy drawing the character though. He's an interesting character to study.

Here's mine:

I've been patiently trying to wait till the Avengers finally comes out, this helped bide the time.

I started with just the Hulk, then decided to add Widow and next thing I knew I was assembling the rest of them. I already know what my favorite line in the movie is gonna be :)

great, except you could have used a different bow for hawkeye....

@spawndon: yea, I wish I had a good compound bow or something more modern looking but that golden arrow is the best I got in my library. Found a few sweet ones in the past but they were way overpriced. All the freebies that I have look ancient or wimpy.

If you spot a decent free one (or reasonably priced) lemme know, it's one of the props you can never have enough of :)

Forget about the bow! It's Hawkeye's AGE that raises my eyebrow!!!

He appears to be the same age as Lukas (CV user Hawkeye446). That model looks easily young enough to be Jeremy Renner's son.

Did you do that on purpose? :b

Nope. We live 1,000 miles apart. I live in Atlanta and tonis lives in the hinterlands somewhere in Connecticut. We stay connected by The Power Of SKYPE!...

...and talk about CVers behind their backs all the time. LOL! (Well, no, not really. Mostly, I talk about the latest medication my doctors have put me on and Tony talks about how me and the other city slickers are doomed when the infrastructure eventually breaks down.)

I'll bet tonis DID do that on purpose. I've never seen Hawkeye depicted as a 15-year-old anywhere, Lukas.

Anyway, Spawndon is obviously unaware of the glory that is Skype...which one can use to talk to anyone anywhere for free as long as you want. :D

BTW, every time Bob sees me pop online on skype on his computer, he tries to skype me and interrupt whatever it is that I'm in the middle of. But I never answer his calls anymore, because every time I used to in the past, Bob would just pretend to be Velcro and waste my time with his barking.

Well, the Black Widow DOES look like Scarlett Johansson...but it's been awhile since Jeremy Renner looked that young.

I know I'm way past the deadline, much less my picture isn't finished but I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things in the upcoming months guys and gals. I have the hulk drinking a monster energy beverage. Just been so busy with exercising, cars, and life I haven't had much time to draw or color.
