Pro'lly my first superheroine crush. Mary Marvel. SHA- DAAMN!!   Any costume style. I'm on holiday next week, so let's set the due date for September 10 so I can hopefully whip out a drawing when I get back. And maybe we can get more artists' work!

I was working on this one here, but it's 1:30am and I have to get up in a few hours... it looks goofy, anyhows.

@budonkadonk:
I understand the pose you were going for actually, so don't beat yourself up about it.  Not an easy one to do.

Can I get 1 more day it's done just can't post yet?
#28 Posted by DavidR (1366 posts) - - Show Bio
@budonkadonk:

 Actually the pose works, all I see that needs a little change is the two inner chest lines to the chin need to be erased to about where the beginning of the costume line is on the left side. Joining the lines to the chin gives it a forced slightly unnatural look. The iris on the left side needs the inner part erased and added to the other side of the same eye, just slightly not too much so that it matches more the left eye on the right side. You might also want to slightly enlarge the inner rim of the eye on the left side to match the size of the one on the right. I am using left and right reference as I look at the figure not the actual left and right of her. I like the pose and would like to see the finished version. Hope that's helpful...

Great camera angle and pose. I see you are using your spy cam experience to good use. Did ya hide one in ur shoe? : D

I'm thinking the short skirt attracted a lot of artist to this particular contest!

@DavidR:

 Naw. I spent a lot of time picking up the loose change my clumsy hands kept dropping.  ;)

@neumato:

I heard about a creepy man at the subway station that kept dropping his change over and over and over. He always had a strange look on his face as he stood back up, dude I didn't realize they where talking about you.  : )
#34 Posted by neumato (93 posts) - - Show Bio

It's a technique I picked up from that movie Splash! ;) And as you can see in my pic, one can also see the bottom of her boot. That's why I switched to very shiny patent leather shoes...

@budonkadonk:

Thanks and back at'cha! I like the second one, too! Take DavidR's words to heart. I agree with what he's saying. It's an inspired angle and a tough one to pull off! Make it so!!!
#36 Posted by CuttingEdgeKomix (285 posts) - - Show Bio

Thx for the extra time.
#37 Posted by DavidR (1366 posts) - - Show Bio
@CuttingEdgeKomix:

Regardless of the titillating angle, you hit the pose on the head, great proportions. really good piece! : )

That's pretty good cutting edge, some of your best work. Great job everyone.

@spawndon: Im just trying to get back into the groove of the website. I started checking out post on page 24 the first time, and then i found this little gem of a thread on page 23, I hope to work my way back up to page one  and make my own threads on here and get back into the comic vine community and become a part of the threads again. It may take awhile though... lol!
