Animation Thread.

Hi Everyone.

I've decided to try a bit of animation with my drawings, and have started with a couple of very simple ones to try it out:

Just wondering if anyone else has tried animating their stuff, as I don't think I've seen any posted around here. If not, why not give it a go? :)

I'll try and come up with something more impressive soon. :)

For the first one, I just made five copies of the picture with slightly darkened backgrounds each time, and put them into a gif maker in sequence.

For the second one, I just put in a few copies of the eyes open picture, and one eyes closed.

For this new one, I drew the picture and copied it flipped, and alternated them:

Then added eyes to each picture, including a closed eye one, then put them in sequence:

I might try adding a background to this one.

Funny enough, I have started dabbling recently, just with pics I already have, testing out methods:

It's a start hehe XD Also made a Norms animation about eight years ago with powerpoint but trust me, it has not aged well :P

These animations are very cute and good. I did a bunch of animation using illustrator/photoshop and flash. Here is an example.

There is a new Adobe product called Edge that will export so it can work on tablets....Flash is dying :(

Sorry those responses took a year. I think I intended to respond when I had more art, but never did. Until now anyway.

I've been thinking about trying some more animation recently. I made a simple little test piece to have a quick go at it again:

this is great stuff for someone just staring out! espesh using non "too damn expensive" animation programs! well done!

And yeah, as I'm going for a Bachelors in animation I've done some stuff here and there, though recently I've been trying to animate my own characters.

Anyway, been a while but I've been giving this a bit of go again recently. A few little bits here and there, with plans to do more soon. :)

@v_scarlotte_rose: Sure did a lot of animating, though not for any of my own characters. Moved one 3D model, though, and he looks pretty nice I think. Come next quarter, though, I'm gonna be so heavy on the animation.
