Now that we've opened things up a little on selections, why not try some from the Marvel side.
Deadline is 3/12 midnight (EST)
@tonis: Great choice! So many ways to go at it... I've already got some ideas. Can't wait to see the entries for this one.
@Rockfall: @Rasarima:
I mean absolutely no offense by this, but how do these differ from current/modern Black Panther designs?

yeah, these pics are great but I always vote for the pic with the best thought for the '2099' feel
@tonis: I agree. However, they feel like they are missing something or like they stopped short of the futuristic look without explanation.
@Chaos Burn: Exactly.

oh....i will try again then...
there's no need at all, your entry is fine. It may be the 2099 contest but there's definitely no rule as to what defines that look or how a character looks. They can look as they do today so I certainly wouldn't exclude anything entered because of that.
It's true it might not get as many votes because some might look at futuristic criteria for this particular contest, but that's not a given. Having been involved in these for a while now I can say that voters use a whole variety of criteria to decide on their choices.
As long as your being creative and having fun it's just great getting to see your work included ;)
@LeeThomasART: I agree that it doesn't have enoghf 2099 look to it. Most of my ideas of futuristic is glowing things but that would take away the stealthy look i wanted for black panther so i had a hard time making it look cool. i tried to make the armor look more advanced and i gave him a futuristic helmet (or at least i tried to) also he has a force field around him, so there are some 2099 parts to it
@Rockfall: Oh ya, I know what you mean. I'm picturing Black panther all TRON'ed out and Spider-Man standing there in his new(old now) stealth TRON costume with his head cocked to the side and an eyebrow visibly raised through his mask and after long pause he just says "...Seriously? Now YOU'RE biting my style too?"
These are a good example of why descriptions are sometimes helpful...Though I only really do them myself when I have a little extra creative energy to use up but nothing more to work on.
@DomDom: that's pretty good, the purple glow makes it seem there's loads of of the vibranium tech within the suit
@DomDom sa
@Chaos Burn: Oh cool I never thought of it that way... *facepalm*
hehe, thanks dude! =)
haha, no probs, I've been watching loads of Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes, and Black Panther always uses purple vibranium weapons - hence the reminder!
good job on the artwork overall dude
T'Channa is the Great Grandson of the original Black Panther. Soon after taking on the mantle of Black Panther he is called upon to defend the Nation of Wakanda from an invading force. During battle he is caught in a massive explosion and loses his lower legs. After he recovers from his injuries he returns to his role of Black Panther. Using prosthetic limbs that allow him to run and jump with great speed and agility he continues to defend his country and his people.

Wow, love the art and the backstory. Very creative.
Good stuff Payno. I'd darken the gloves as they would get him killed, but otherwise I really like it. (I like it as it is for sheer artistic talent, but I look at things as how they'd work in the real world.)
