The New Trailer for Arrow Shows Off Ray Palmer's New Suit

The newest trailer for CW's Arrow, episode titled "Nanda Parabat," shows everyone gearing up for battle, including Ray Palmer, played by Brandon Routh. Check it out.

The episode airing on Wednesday, February 25th shows Ray Palmer finally in his Atom costume. Looks like next week's episode is going to be pretty action-packed as well. What do you guys think of the costume? Is it a good adaptation?

I wonder if he can play a sweet game of rollerball with that. Curious to see how the show treats Atom and his more day time aesthtitc in the normally nocturnal Arrow.

I hope they end up doing the "shrinking guy hitches a ride on the archer's arrow" trick!

I'm not sure how the Atom will fit into the upcoming stories, but I'm excited for the prospect. I'd say this has been a pretty great season so far. And I expect it will only get better, as Arrow always does as the year-end approaches.

They haven't mention shrinking powers as of yet. So far he's a guy in a battle suit. Hopefully they will though.

They put out Ray Plamer right before Hank Pym, lol.

The costume looks alright but I feel like I am only one indifferent towards Ray his story is uninteresting and his scenes take way from the grander narrative.

@wardemon32: what do u mean? Hank Pym isn't DC he's Marvel. And if your talking about how DC could say they put out their "Shrinking Man" b4 Marvel put theirs on the big screen, Scott Lang is the protagonist of the new Ant-Man movie. Not Hank Pym, i think he's just a supporting character... Movie-wise.

I know Hank Pym isn't DC. When I said that statement I said it because casual comic fans who usually watch the movies usually liek to say who copied who. If DC comes out with Rap Palmer before Hack then people are going to say they copied. It doesn't matter if one is a movei and teh other is a TV show. A copy is a copy.

I'm optimistic. Suit looks cool, I'd love to pick up ladies while rollerskating with it...

@wardemon32: True, very true. I understand now. DC made the right decision in doing this. I prefer DC over Marvel but i believe Marvel gives a more realistic view on things. Like which is more believable, humans going through a mutation a becoming "mutants" or Superman(alien super hero that just happens to look like average human), Wonder Woman(Greek myth), GL's in general(universal police getting powers from colored rings and lanterns).

That's like saying just because they show Aquaman, doesn't mean he'll go into the water. He's going to be shrinking.

Not really because though Ray Palmer as always been about shrinking Atom hasn't. Plus from what we've seen from his motivations to combat bad guys. Shrinking isn't something that would come to mind. Combine that with how it looks like a battle suit that enhances a persons physical stats it looks like it's intended to take someone face to face.

Now I'm not saying it won't end up shrinking. I'm just saying that it's possible that he wont and if he does it's not something he was intending to do at all or at first. If there is shrinking it might come later. I just don't see it coming strait out of the box.

This looks incredibly cheesy to be honest.

I quite like the design of the suit. I could do without the clear face plate though.

The suit is definitely my least favorite out of the costumes on Arrow/Flash thus far but I don't hate it either.

It just looks very painful to wear. I'm bummed at the notion of him NOT shrinking too.
