Actually reading through the back issues and now paying close attention to Arisia's plot lines in the current volume of Green Lantern, i've just come accross this interesting fact...
Here's the deal, from the pages of Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files and Origins # 1:
"After a flirtatious relationship with Hal Jordan (she is over two-hundred Earth years his senior), Arisia was seemingly killed by Major Force."
That's right, folks. When she was found being held hostage by the Manhunters along with the other Lost Lanterns, she revealed how old she really is in Earth years!
Apparently, any time her age was brought up in the past, she failed to mention that a year on Graxos IV (her homeworld) is significantly LONGER than a year on Earth! And without that fairly important piece of information, people just ASSUME that both planets take about the same length of time to take one trip around their sun!
Arisia's age was retconned in issue 13 of the latest Green Lantern book, revealing that "due to the elongated orbit around its two suns, thirteen years on Graxos IV were like two-hundred and forty on Earth"
Is this a major retcon? Yes.
Does it completely change some 25 years worth of stories involving Arisia? Sure.
Do I care? NO!
Because now the shoe's on the other foot! It was ARISIA that was robbing the cradle, not Hal!
And for a 240+-year old babe, she's still freakin' HOT!!!
