In the Volume API where it returns the listing of issues, would it be possible to add the issue number in addition to the name of the issue? Right now to get that data I have to make a call for each issue and that runs for awhile on a volume with many issues.

I second this...

your tipical question is of the type: "series name / issue number" ... if you get the volume ok, it provides you a list of issues by their id and name, so you have to search all the issues one by one to test for your number... if the number s ere privided along with the id, that would sabve tons of searches (and bandwidth!!!)
