URL ignoring multiple filters?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't get multiple filters to work at all. The first one will always work then the second just gets ignored.

http://comicvine.com/api/characters/?api_key=[apikey]&limit=20&filter=name:super,gender:Female

Grabs the same amount of results regardless of what I put under gender.

I'm just following the structure outlined by the documentation of &filter=field:value,field:value
