sorting not working?

Hi everyone, 
 
Just stated using the API. Does sorting work at all?
 
I'm trying:
 http://api.comicvine.com/issues/?api_key=XXXX&sort=date_added
 
which returns the same as:
 http://api.comicvine.com/issues/?api_key=XXXX
 
I'm just trying to get the latest first. is this possible?

Sorting doesn't work for me either.
 
http://api.comicvine.com/search/?api_key=XXXX&format=xml&resources=character&query=thing&offset=1&sort=count_of_issue_appearances
 
returns the same as
 
http://api.comicvine.com/search/?api_key=XXXXXX&format=xml&resources=character&query=thing&offset=1

I was having the same issue and seeing as that there isn't much chatter going on at the moment I fear the api might be dead. :(
